  1. Another great episode. I love PropagandaWatch.

  2. The footage shown to us ad nauseam in the days following the 9/11 attacks comes to mind, of Palestinians supposedly celebrating and dancing in joy over the attacks. Later revealed to be completely fraudulent in a Der Spiegel article. (Yes, they just happen to show us repeated video of Israel’s enemies celebrating, lol. Nothing painfully obvious and absurd about that).. One bit of the footage showing men shooting rifles into the air was actually from a funeral the day before. And the clip of the woman making celebratory sounds was actually tracked down and she said she was offered cake to do that.

Propaganda Watch would be more accurately titled Media Watch.

    • Unfortunately here in Terror Australis, the state owned media has already being using the program title “Media Watch” for many decades.

While the format is very similar to the presentation of James series, it is actually in itself one of the most hypocritical forms of propaganda.

Like James, they reveal the absurdities in the commercial mainstream media current affairs programs. Unlike James, they never reveal the man behind the curtain.

Classic case of give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for life.

The propaganda is aimed at the “Educated” classes who like to make fun of those stupid commoners who watch mainstream current affairs (Or anything other than state TV)

Truth is a lot of the commoners just have the telly on in background while they eat their dinner – they will have forgotten the propaganda five minutes afterwards, where the “Educated” class will take the horseshit they have been brainwashed with to the grave.

  3. Cheers James, another great episode.

There was that BBC report where they dubbed over the words “chemical attack” in an aftermath interview. They also had, what looked like actors playing zombies. Can’t find it anywhere now. They’ve scrubbed it from YouTube searches. Imagine my surprise.

    • – BUMP –

xchange, Great list with descriptions. Thanks!

I couldn’t help but chuckle at the silliness of some of these reporters and antics.

    • Thanks for the Duck and Cover video. Downloaded and saved for future lampooning.

  5. The Media-Military-Industrial Complex don’t care about facts man, they have an agenda to push, and minds to mold.

    • On “MIC”. It is reported that Eisenhower wished to use the term “Military Industrial Congressional Complex” (MICC). A few weeks back Ray McGovern pushed a new definition of (scratches head, trying to remember) MICIMATT.

The “Military Industrial Congressional Intelligence Media Academic Think Tank” Complex. It could also be called TIPSIP (Those In Power Stay In Power).

Recall the “octopus” pictures around the creation of the Fed and Income Tax?

      Yeah, MICIMATT.

  6. Yea. The MSM is endlessly absurd and comical when you know what the game is. If you don’t know what the game is, it’s not funny at all.

And in other news, actor Robert Forster has died. I’m bummed about that. He was a good egg. Some time when you all have had a nice dinner or a few drinks or whatever and want to settle in and watch a movie but can’t decide what, look up a film called Diamond Men. A little indie that mostly went under the radar.

  7. If it wasn’t true, it never would’ve been put out
    by the ministry of truth.

  8. This charade reminds me of those reality Cops TV shows that I’ve watched years ago where the police find a bag of drugs on some guy who is obviously strung out on drugs and the guy denies it, acting completely shocked. “I had no idea this bag of heroin was stashed in my underwear. I’ve never seen it before.”

  9. Well there is the admitted and proven fraudulent sandy hook clips of military rushing in to a school compound, that turned out to have been shot at a different school. Don’t look now though, I think the vultures are circling. Wanna lose your wife or your job/ Just mention Sandy hook.:)

  10. God bless Kentuckyians like Joseph.

“Molon labe” : From the ancient Greek, meaning “come and take [them]”.
    A classical expression of defiance.
According to Plutarch, Xerxes I—king of the Achaemenid Empire—demanded that the Spartans surrender their weapons and King Leonidas I responded with this phrase.

  11. Dear CRC,

My take on information consumption is as follows:

Trust is everything. But, it needs to be earned.

    1. Verify the authenticity of the information you are given. Cross reference etc.. If they don’t provide references or don’t name their sources be immediately suspicious. Be a historian/court: first hand sources are the most reliable (but may be wrong due to influences), second hand are next most reliable (but still potentially flaky), anything else is just speculation/opinion.

    2. When you have found that the author of a number of articles/publications is reliable (by verification) then you have a *person* that you can trust. Never assign trust to a publisher, only to *people*. You must still reassess the reliability, now and then, by verifying even this “trusted” source. Its like election verification; you run random recounts to spot failures.

    3. Whenever imbibing information from media which is not from your trusted authors, treat it as “what they want you to *think* about” rather than “what is *happening*”. i.e treat MSM as thought control process rather than an information source. You can try to correlate across untrusted sources, but the media demonstrably engage in group-think (control). The more hyperbolic/influential the story, the more likely is group-think. For these highly important narratives, it is the *sources* of your trusted authors that matter. Verify them.

    4. Make it easy for yourself to access the publications of the authors you trust (bookmarks, curated homepage, bookshop, as best suits).

    My two (or four) pence.

  12. Wow!

I knew there was fake news, and I would expect this kind of fakery from cable news…but ABC?

Granted, the Council of Foreign Relations has always had “operatives” in the big 3 networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC…but I didn’t think they would stoop this low!

It just goes to show how much the Foreign Policy Establishment wants to push these regime change wars in the Middle East for the “Project for a New American Century”.

    Good work as always James!

    Ethan 🙂

  13. One wonders why the propaganda industry doesn’t utilize their allies in the film industry more often, to produce original photos and video clips which cannot be found in archives.
But why go through the trouble, I guess. As with bogus print stories, deceptive use of video footage will have the desired effect on their readers and viewers, most of whom likely won’t be aware of any subsequent debunkings or retractions. That’s why they keep doing it. It works.

    • Hi flammable-

You are right about movies looking like movies and special effects. And the best trick of misusing real footage. I understand that.
But how hard would it be, with adequate funding and some bent photographer or filmmaker, to create something- no doctoring, no special effects?
And what is “live footage”? In my mind, it means turn on a camera and point it at something.
Take that gun range clip for example. They could have easily gone to some remote location with real ordinance, turned on a camera, and started blowing shit up.
Creating some things would obviously be impossible. But many other things, quite possible.

Well that’s my take on it. Thanks for the feedback flammable.

  14. That really was a fascinating read. Off-Guardian posted it as well which has the added benefit of readers’ comments. Kudos to Mr. Terje Maloy for transcribing and translating!

  15. ABC and the entire MSM do so heavily depend on the willfully ignorant who will believe absolutely anything they see and repeat it as fact if it comes from their TV sets. Greta Van Susteren? Even considering her to be concerned about truth or even accuracy for that matter is a huge laugh. She’s as much of a weasel-worder as any talking head — ‘OH! My goodness ABC. Looky, looky, we have just got to stop this ‘ERROR’ making or we’ll lose our credibility!” Honey, thinking people do not give you or them any. Chew on that.

These days I think save us from the talking heads who spend their sad, imprisoned lives promoting outright lies for their overlords’ war regime narrative. When they tell the truth that’s bigger news. We have seen and heard SO many lies for so many decades from them that to believe anything they have to say is kin to believing in the tooth fairy. (Actually, the tooth fairy has credibility. He/she delivers.)

The reason the MSM hates alternative media? Luke at WEARECHANGE.org posted a report this week headlining that the Kurds are considering joining Russian and Syria. Haven’t read/seen it yet but here’s the link if you’d like to check it out. (ABC? Gott’a an ERROR to promote for that headline?)
