To me, the significance of the Time article is that they admit to manipulating the election, at all.
OK, James let us take your argument regarding the Time Magazine article and scrutinize it. Nothing there. Article waste of time. They are trying to get ahead of the game. Admission of rigging.
But the article takeaway is far more poignant, James. Take a look at what is stated over and over but at the beginning of the article clear as day:
“The handshake between business and labor was just one component of a vast, cross-partisan campaign to protect the election–an extraordinary shadow effort dedicated not to winning the vote but to ensuring it would be free and fair, credible and uncorrupted.”
This is the ‘unity’ argument Uncle Joe is passing around like LSD in a punch bowl. You know, unity of all Americans to fight the fascist bile of Trump.
But it is more: notice how they state “business and labor” (capitalists) and (workers) now joined at the hip or handshake for what is best for america?
This is a spear aimed at any anti-capitalist movement in the US. And it is especially aimed at workers, who have seen their unions sell them out again and again, while the bosses walk with fat seed money, to let them know that they better not rise up against capital for capital and labor are in alliance.
So one doesn’t have to be a socialist to understand the class struggle.
Capitalists are the workers’ enemies and throughout the last century labor has been trying to get concessions from capitalists. FDR was the example.
Now we want the whole pie. No more appeasement.
This propaganda is aimed at telling workers that their interests lie with an alliance with capital against evil fascism.
Trump was ethnic fascism, Biden global fascism. The system is in play and the biggest fear the capitalists, (National Ass. of Manufacturers, see site for example) have is worker or labor solidarity. They fear this, believe me,more than inflation.
Labor has fought capitalists for the entire four hundred years of capitalism and will continue to do so. Wild cats soon.
The history of the world is the history of class struggle and they know it. They are the most well organized rulers perhaps since the Pharoahs.
People will not work for food and die for oil for this pile of crap they call a ruling class. History shows this.
A Marxist paying James Corbett – a win for freedom to have your dollars. (Also, like a good Marxists, feels the need to cut in front of everyone else posting by replying to the first comment, even though the Marxist is not replying to the commenter.)
“Capitalism” is a term largely made popular by Marxists, but it was not in existence at the formation of the United States.
What was created is a system more supportive of freedom of association than other systems. The thing that Marxists call “capitalism” is a phenomenon that occurs downstream of freedom of association.
The actual battle is the authoritarians (socialists, Marxists, fascists, etc.) trying to manipulate the system.
One can only read this with sadness. The author,so self-assured, so arrogant, starts a reply with ad hominims and fallacies. Accusations and name calling.
Not only is this simply uncivil, but it is useless to foment dialogue which is so necessary in today’s world. Intellectual humility is in short supply in the culture of violence and despair.
I am afraid that this kind of thinking will serve only the rulers; they prey off of uncritical thinkers, sowing dissension.
What is also amazing is how the uncritical mind can avoid the actual claim of the reply they are supposedly responding to. Instead, we get word games without evidence, and an author piloting off to God knows where; again a useless activity.
Critical thinking and critical scrutiny are what is needed along with questioning.
Uncritical, arrogant minds can offer nothing but fallacies and unsubstantiated assumptions. They are lost.
In fact, your first reply accused the lower classes of being taken advantage of by the upper classes, which is a core tenet of Marxism. When someone apparently supporting a particular ideology and called out as such, it isn’t “name calling”.
You continue to support all of my claims as you immediately run to play the victim card and then attack with claims of poor critical thinking followed by how society breaks down under poor critical thinking.
What I can’t help but notice is you didn’t expend one word with an attempt to address any of my arguments. Didn’t Bernays wonderfully supplement Marx, Engels, Lenin, and the rest?
I wish we had some Big Pharma whistle blowers come out and blow the lid off these vaccines!

Brian Michael Jenkins still being called on for his expertise in terrorism. This is the same Brian Michael Jenkins who is a former special operations officer responsible for waging terror operations on various civilian populations during the 60’s and 70’s, and who is a 9/11 suspect, contributing to the process of redesigning and implementing the WTC complex security after the 93 WTC bombings up until the 9/11 attacks.
In regards to his knowledge of terrorism, he has written that “Terrorism is aimed at the people watching, not at the actual victims. Terrorism is theater.” He also said that he believed one of the objectives of terrorism was to “enforce obedience and cooperation. This is the normal objective of state or official terrorism” and that “success demands the creation of an atmosphere of fear and the seeming omnipresence of the internal security apparatus.” (Another Nineteen, p.186)
And now this terrorism implementer and establishment insider who formerly advised on foreign terrorism, is now advising for the new demographic of terrorists on the radar, the average citizen who isn’t going along with the New Normal. And just like foreign terrorism, this domestic terrorism will largely be theater as well.

I have little doubts RWE will get its money and they will re-invest into something in post-carbon economy, so they will be in worst case net zero.

Ice on the road is terrible. I tiny mistake by one driver and shit like this happen.
In winter our roads are regularly sprinkled with hundreds of tonnes of salt with sand and usually are not icy. Except when it’s really well below frizzing and then suddenly gets warmer with rain. Then you have skate arena, but that is really rare. Downside is, our cars get rusty faster, not to mention ecological consequences.
I think driverless car providers would just stop providing service that would be their solution, although it’s not entirely impossible to drive in such a circumstances. Well, it borders with russian roulette.

Why in the tweet the assertion is made [by the ministry for health BMG], that it is wrong that “the Federal Government will soon announce further massive restrictions of public life”, when only several days later a strategic paper is commissioned with exactly that goal?
Why does WELT suggest, main driver of the paper had been panic by the commissioners? Isn’t it rather the case that the panic should have been generated (only) by the paper?

Commissioners could have been panicked and thus wanted to generate panic.
E.g. If the press or government agents were not panicked enough for them.

There is no COVID-19 vaccine that has been “approved” by the FDA. The only two COVID-19 vaccines currently in use are authorized by the FDA pursuant to an emergency use authorization (“EUA”).
In fact, the FDA authorization letters for both COVID-19 vaccines expressly provide that the vaccines are each “an investigational vaccine not licensed for any indication” and require that “[a]ll promotional material relating to the COVID-19 Vaccine clearly and conspicuously … state that this product has not been approved or licensed by the FDA.”
The CDC does not “approve” vaccines and that it would be false for them to claim that the CDC approved any COVID-19 vaccine. Even worse, the two COVID-19 vaccines are still undergoing clinical trials, hence they were also spreading misinformation when they claimed that these EUA authorized products “went through the same rigorous approval process that all vaccines go through.”
We (ICAN) are pleased to tell you that, after being notified that failure to remove the inaccurate graphic and its false messaging would result in a lawsuit, New York State took it down.

In Box.2 they basically say that governments should not use public finances to support companies or small businesses that are struggling to survive(They call them zombie firms). Governments should just let “creative destruction” happen.
