FWIW, about 7 or 8 years ago, Patrick Wood held a telephone conference for his readers and discussed Trilateralist connected elites having proposed a global currency backed by gold, I can't recall the suggested name for the new currency. At the time of the proposal, I believe the transitional basket was to be dominated by three currencies, the Euro, Dollar, and Yen.

One more hint on IMF's work in practice (one could say enforcement). IMF's daughter organization ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes) "... is an international arbitration institution which facilitates arbitration and conciliation of legal disputes between international investors." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Centre_for_Settlement_of_Investment_Disputes)

Basically disputes between an international coorporation and a member states can be in scope, while almost all cases are initiated by coorporations. Please check the list here: https://icsid.worldbank.org/ICSID/FrontServlet

Very problematic is the lack of transparency on the details of the cases.

Examples:
Phillip Morris vs. Uruguay on limitations on smoking (ICSID Case No. ARB/10/7): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Morris_v._Uruguay
Vattenfall vs. Germany on the exit of nuclear power in ICSID Case No. ARB/12/12

It should be noted Brasil never had signed up and some countries are leaving this like Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela.

Excellent piece as usual. I think you've hit another home run with this piece as it lifts the veil of any pretense that most have about these godawful institutions of enslavement (Like the Fed).

James, I don't think I'm alone when I say this, but I would be very excited when you do a detailed extrapolation/examination of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), of which all the BRICS countries are members of. I hope you also examine to what extent does this feed into the false East/West paradigm that we are presented; to what extent is the "fall" of the U.S. Empire carefully crafted and how will this come to fruition - must the U.S. be buttressed by an opposing force or dialectic of equal and opposite reaction (noting both the BRICS bank and the recently announced alternative to SWIFT), to then produce the desired result, or synthesis, which would/could potentially unveil an even scarier or bigger global government or bank or something of that nature?

To what extent must these conflicts of opposing forces occur for these goals to be realized? I note that you've previously mentioned that no one could have conceived of the "League of Nations" prior to World War I, just as no one could have conceived of the "United Nations" before WWII. I suppose the same would apply to the "Fed" after J.P. Morgan's false panic that led to the creation of the Fed, and many more examples of false dialectics. Are we headed for some sort of a similar paradigm/consciousness shifting event of great magnitude (one that we cannot at present conceptualize due to our limited consciousness from not having been seeded with the "event") that is taking a long time to be set in motion that when unveiled would be a case of fait accompli?
