Corbett Report community member HomeRemedySupply points out a relative rarity: an example of genuinely helpful, positive propaganda. Celebrity-laden propaganda, no less. So it is a step forward to go beyond the “cure cancer cult” and actually address root causes, but what are the deeper implications of positive propaganda? Can we fight fire with fire?

JoyCamp – Stand Up to Cancer Causes

  1. …as a friend

    In the “JOYCAMP Stand Up To Cancer Causes” it always warms me to see my best buddy, Joe (“as a friend” quote).

    I gotta tell you…this Joe fellow has worked extremely hard over the decades to better conditions.
    A long time art schoolteacher who drives an old, old pickup truck and lives on a teacher’s budget, but Joe has spent tens of thousands of his own dollars over the years with his endeavors to improve awareness and better conditions.
    In 2006, he founded “North Texans for 9/11 Truth” and over the years pushed through literally hundreds of projects and events (as seen on YouTube and 911blogger and even the Associated Press). The group has given out more than 70,000 DVDs.
    With a heart of gold, he works with kids who often face a rough environment in parts of Dallas you wouldn’t want to live in. Freelancing, he has helped on many, many community art projects which are featured in the publications. Drive up to his small frame house…and ya know an artist lives there.
    He is my friend.
    He’s your friend too.

    • That sure sounds like what Evey had to say about V.

      He was Edmond Dantés… and he was my father. And my mother… my brother… my friend. He was you… and me. He was all of us.

      Give it up for Joe.

      (burning 70.000 DVDs can really only be done by people who really really care)

  2. nater
    CS Lewis went thru this way back in “the Abolition of Man” … the dif between teaching and indoctrination is in the power the later has to overwhelm the subject regardless or the truth, or not, of the idea being imparted.
    The danger of using propaganda is that it makes the user into just another social controller (very ‘one ring” JRR Tolkien…lol)
    The Danger of NOT using it is that most people are short sighted , lazy, greedy and easily distracted and the advantage lies with those that WILL use propaganda (rather then slow reasoned arguments).
    So… your left with taking and using a dangerous power until it corrupts you or being swept aside as irrelevant.
    The real problem is that most people are, especially at this stage of state ‘education’ NOT really able to operate on a level where they can even understand most issues and have no desire to do so anyway.Its a centurys work to fix state education.
    The people who can run a state DONT NEED ONE and the people who need a state cant run one.

  3. I have to admit… I was a bit disturbed by the suggestion that this sort of “propaganda” might have to be given the same skeptical treatment as any other. So I looked up a few various definitions of propaganda. The one that caught my eye was from vocabulary.com…
    “Propaganda is the spreading of information in support of a cause. It’s not so important whether the information is true or false or if the cause is just or not — it’s all propaganda. The word propaganda is often used in a negative sense, especially for politicians who make false claims to get elected or spread rumors to get their way.”

    If we accept that type of definition… I suggest we switch the Narrative from “Propaganda” to “Truth”. If vaccine or GMO advocates restrict their campaigns to factual, true information then it is up to us to determine the bias/cause and either align with it or reject it.
    A “cause” for healthy kids is something I can get behind… IF… there are no false facts or spreading of rumors injected along the way. I am not as fussed about legitimate biases as I am about injecting lies into the mix.

  4. Hats off to HomeRemedySupply. Hats off to the rest for your encouraging words .
    Around here we keep it simple as to the sifting out of the bugs in our flour. I have grasp the idea as it was taught to me by a Dallas Texican vocational teacher , Elesimo T. Sanchez. A real person and educator.
    He was a printer, hence the connection to propaganda, as he stressed the importance of integrity in the paper, the ink and with equal importance to the message of what was being printed. He was a dinosaur in his purpose of teaching how to think. He use to say ” you can be the oil or the water, the two will never mix”. When is the last time you read a newspaper that the pressmen had any say as to what the content of what he was printing , was to be.
    He drove home in minutest detail, it rests with you, that you must decide to be the oil or the water. The message , meaning , will carry through the medium to the ultimate outcome. You plant weeds and you expect to harvest turnips? Plant a good thought, like ol’ Corbett and Homey and let us see what bares fruit. Is it moral, ethical? You must choose. That to me is what has been bleached from our human condition by the Rockefeller men. We no longer have the knowledge that we have to choose. Talk about a herd of thoughtless cattle wondering in the wilderness. Sorry I digress. Is there good propaganda? My progressive entourage says “let me try it on and I’ll tell you how it feels, I’ll let you know”. God help us.

    • The only other allegory I can think of that has the same flavor of Elesimo T. Sanchez teachings in his classroom has to be
      Freedom-I Won’t. Flew in the face of my inter-urban high school totalitarian administrators corporeal punishment schemes.

  5. Hey there, I just wanted to hear everyone’s take on the mass amounts of Libertarian propaganda being spewed out in YouTube ads. It seems like positive propaganda, but part of me thinks the ads are disinformation to distract us. Almost like they’re too good to be true. Has anyone else experienced this too?

    • uBlock Origin user over here. Haven’t seen a youtube ad in a while.

    • I would suspect that the big push of any ideology is to cause people to divide into small groups which are unable to either communicate and learn from each other nor able to act in a way to prevent the elite from doing whatever they wish to do. Atomized groups are like the wild tribes the Romans over run… strong but easy to beat one at a time.
      Only when enough people actually get upset about any issue is there any pretence of pull back… re your example I can imagine that pushing libertarian ideas on people who think it means just acting alone and doing whatever suits you would be helpful to any group wishing to destroy the modern nation state and social cohesion…just as pushing ultra nationalism is pushed to crush freedom…. which is used to push the reaction… and so on.

  6. The Message

    Like so many folks have pointed out, the message contained in the 2 1/2 minute video of what I like to title “I’m just a kid. How can I make a difference?” (Cancer Schmancer’s “Be The Change!” Sizzle) is something I can get on board with.

    “The message” in a communication is the water in the pipe.
    If it’s an important message, then it bears repeating.
    “Repeat the message.” That’s how we win.

    To be honest, before posting the video, I did a very brief check into the “backdrop”.
    After all, Corbett Members can be a sharp and tough crowd. Ha!…James probably is all too aware of this aspect. 😉

    The Cancer Schmancer Mission Statement sold me.
    EXCERPTS
    …save lives by transforming the nation’s current sick care system into one that focuses on genuine health care. …advocates a forward-thinking, holistic, whole-body approach to wellness…we encourage people to examine the mind-body-spirit relationship as well as the relationship between personal health and the health of the entire planet….

    However, there had been a few wide-eyed moments for me in my brief review of the “backdrop”.
    Hillary on video talking about the organization made me gag, but if it had been Trump I’d probably cursed like Christopher Walken. And there was that shouting piece of print on the Board of Directors which said “Rockefeller Trust Company”.

    It should be noted that the number of “views” and recent comments on Fran’s video have spiked.
    Also, I wouldn’t be too surprised if some celebrities or their associates visit Corbett Report.

    I gotta hand it to Fran.
    She’s doing what she can to better conditions.
    On her YouTube Channel, she has the trailer for the documentary Farmer’s Footprint which can be seen here (20 minutes worth)…
    https://farmersfootprint.us/member-video/
    It covers glyphosate, chemical fertilizers and the depleted soils which in turn reduce the nutrient value of foods. Regenerative Agriculture is a solution towards untangling this mess we find ourselves in.

    • Homey,
      ” Regenerative Agriculture is a solution towards untangling this mess…”
      Dr Zack Bush ” around 1996 we had a Chernobyl type event …”
      This is a rare occasion to see solutions in action. I want more progress like this to start popping up in all the other messes that need untangling.

      • Dr. Farrah Agustin-Bunch, M.D. fled to Oklahoma after the armed raid by the Philippine version of the FDA.
        Her all natural health facility in the Philippines was seeing 300 to 500 patients a day.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_jPu60HPsw

        Many patients were cured from cancer. Naturally. You can see videos of people’s success stories. She was helping the poor and the orphans. People loved her.
        Well, not everyone…
        The conventional medical community was getting ticked off. The government came down hard. The armed FDA raid was not with little pistols in the holster. She and her family received death threats. So, the last I heard, her family went to live in Oklahoma (your neck of the woods GeneralBottleWasher).

        A video where she discusses some of the medicinal plants was interesting for me.

        • I do stuff (healing) like this person here:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0sNQU1uxUw&list=PLtHseY_ID4n8hZ0Sb3CIoZqrQC-YGuSlD

          This is a totally different model than the materialistic model, that is always promoted by the medicine industry.
          What if you can actually heal yourself?

          In this experience you can observe how our physical world is surrounded by a few more other dimensions.
          In these dimensions is “consciousness” that can alter the physical properties of living biological bodies.
          This is in line with all known science, because formula for x and y do not change with we add a z.
          But most scientists are very stuck in materialism due to their belief-system.
          (click on my name for full info on this)

          This channel features many scientists that do agree with me,
          based on their own experiences:
          https://www.youtube.com/user/scienceandnonduality
          And I notice that it is very common for normal good scientists to have these non-physical experiences.

          It is also very dependent on culture:
          in China they promote the idea of Chi and such.
          In india it is called prana, and it is a fundamental part of yoga.
          I do not know what in history removed this chi/prana from our culture. Maybe it was the witchhunt?

          It is actually very easy to learn to feel chi/prana.
          The life-energy that we experience is one aspect of chi. Certain prana is called “breath” in yoga.
          And vitality is another, and intelligence/brightness is one. There are many different aspects.

          Most people are specialized in one aspect that is why
          everyone has different capabilities, and even feels and
          things different.
          Some religions also specialize in one aspect, which can also cause them to become “extreme”.

          With cancer I often see a totally disturbed aura, which takes a
          lot of effort to heal.
          In chi sense one might say that the a lot of life-energy
          goes into the wrong cells in the body.

          This works indeed in hand with all kinds of pollution and bad food.

          Because of the money involved, the medicine industry do not want
          alternative healing methods.
          Many scientists do not want it because of their beliefs and status. Their beliefs are very very strong, and they really think that they do good things by destroying other people’s good work.

          And the government does not want it because, “there are lives
          at stake” (which means we need to satisfy our sponsors).
          In chi/prana sense they are all parasites.

          Great evil can be committed with good (selfish) intentions.

  7. I want to point out something.

    In Fran’s video, she mentions that 90% of cancer is environmental.

    James Corbett points out a glaring fact around the 4:25 mark of “What The “Cure Cancer” Cult Isn’t Telling You”.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXoyxdK-pjE

    Mega-huge sums of money had been spent on cancer research…
    QUOTING Corbett as he reads
    “…Neither the National Cancer Institute nor the American
    Cancer Society has shown much interest in investigating the
    environmental contribution to cancer. A committee of the NCI’s
    National Advisory Cancer Board expressed its “astonishment”
    that the National Cancer Program allocated only 10 percent of its
    budget to this area.”

    Only 10% of its budget into environmental research?!!

  8. Anecdote – Dallas Mayor’s office and the Cancer Schmancer video

    Prelude
    From Dallas to El Paso, it’s quite a stretch. 634 miles.
    Texas and Texans are that way.
    On an occasion or two, I might stretch things a bit. You can chide me for it. Mom did. I’m used to it.

    As many folks here know, I am involved in the fluoride fight.
    Yesterday morning I sent an email to the Dallas Mayor and City Council. Usually, there is never a direct response except for an auto-reply. But all emails go on the record (Texas Open Records Act) and have come in handy for our cause. Handy also for prosecutors because recently several city council members have received indictments for corrupt activity.

    Here is the email I sent:

    Subject: Actor Jamie Foxx & kids message to Dallas

    Actor/Musician Jamie Foxx and actress Fran Drescher team up with some kids to deliver a wonderful common sense message to the Dallas City Council. “I’m just a kid. How can I make a difference?” A refreshing 2 ½ minute VIDEO.
    (Cancer Schmancer’s “Be The Change!” Sizzle – video link)
    The Big C – The Fluoride chemicals added to the Dallas drinking water not only can cause cancer, but can facilitate its growth. See the science (even from top EPA scientists) – https://www.dogsagainstfluoridation.com/news-activism

    Well, I get a call in the afternoon. “Another solicitor” I thought. No, it was the Mayor’s office secretary.
    She pulled up the email and asked, “The Mayor needs to find out if there is anything we need to do in order to prepare for Jamie Foxx.”
    I lightly chuckled and said, “No, he’s too busy to come to Dallas. But he just wants the Mayor to watch the video.” I told her that I had not directly talked to Mr. Foxx, “You know how that works. He’s a busy guy.” She seemed to understand and then I closed with “Tell the Mayor the video is not about pizza.” We laughed. (The Mayor once was the CEO of a major national pizza chain.)

    ~~~
    On the video’s YouTube comments, one can see the Corbett Report fans. It’s uplifting to see.
    By the way, Fran opposes fluoride and also has questioned vaccination schedules.
  9. April 22, 2019 Monday – “Earth Day”
    CancerSchmancer.Org sent out an email update which had a website link affiliated with the following video…
    Fran Drescher, Jamie Foxx, and Jeff Bridges help you learn how to identify and eliminate the toxins in your daily life in “BE THE CHANGE”.
    26 minutes – https://vimeo.com/325054605
    FLUORIDE
    At the 17:23 mark in the extended version of “BE THE CHANGE” video, Fran Drescher states:
    “…Which brings us to toothpaste. There are many potentially harmful ingredients in it, starting with SODIUM FLUORIDE. Look for a toothpaste made with natural ingredients that you recognize. And pay special attention when you are brushing your gums. The gums are the gateway to good health as well as disease, which is why you don’t want to be brushing with a toothpaste that suggests to call Poison Control if swallowed! Really?! No thank you.”
    Come to find out…
    …the 2 ½ minute video Cancer Schmancer’s “Be The Change!” Sizzle is actually cut pieces from the extended 26 minute version.
    The video editor did a great job.
    The 26 minute video goes into educational detail of how to live a less toxic lifestyle.
