Interview 712 – Larken Rose on the Religion of Statism

by | Jul 19, 2013 | Interviews | 4 comments

Larken Rose, the author of The Most Dangerous Superstition, joins us today on the program to explore the linkages between statism and religion. Is a belief in governmental authority analogous to religious belief? Or is it simply a religious belief in and of itself? If so, how best can we break the news to the dogmatic adherents of the religion of government that their god doesn’t exist? Join us today on The Corbett Report for a fascinating discussion on this important topic.

  1. I have been listening to ideas about anarchism for 2 or 3 years, mostly in your expression James and those of Stefan Molyneuz. Finally I am starting to get it.

I realize that this podcast is nearly 3 years old. But their value doesn’t die. I watched a video that Larken made a couple of years ago about his project called “The Mirror.” Sounded like a great idea, but as far as I can tell it appears to have stagnated.

Easy to do if you get a youtube channel.

    1)Download the audio
2)put it into Openshot or some other free video editor
3)upload it to your channel BUT MAKE IT PRIVATE
4)It will auto transcribe the speech in a couple of days or so
    5) Go to the video and look for the three dots (these days next to the thumbs up/down stuff next to video…look for “show transcript” the copy/paste it into a doc. You will probably want to toggle off the TimeStamp unless you actually want it

There may be some weirdness about “paste as plain text” or some other option. ONE of them will paste.
