  1. When we talk about the new web that will save the world, all we see are big names and partial solutions to give the masses hope. However, the underlying technology is not discussed and the central control remains.
Rather what we need is someone to present technological solutions to be put in the public domain that would allow local communities to operate without having to be part of the global system while still being able to work with it. Perhaps they could offer some expiations of why things work against you.

The problem is that they are probably too much of a geek and don’t talk like normal people, and don’t have the revenue sources that the giants have.

What is needed is someone who has a knack for the public presentation to be the front of that kind of effort. Consider that an invitation.

  2. NEWS – Reuters – November 7, 2018
Big investors sue 16 banks in U.S. over currency market rigging
    https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-forex-lawsuit/big-investors-sue-16-banks-in-u-s-over-currency-market-rigging-idUSKCN1NC34J
    EXCERPTS
A group of large institutional investors including BlackRock Inc and Allianz SE’s Pacific Investment Management Co has sued 16 major banks, accusing them of rigging prices in the roughly $5.1 trillion-a-day foreign exchange market.

The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan by plaintiffs that decided to “opt out” of similar nationwide litigation that has resulted in $2.31 billion (£1.76 billion) of settlements with 15 of the banks.

Those settlements followed worldwide regulatory probes that have led to more than $10 billion of fines for several banks, and the convictions or indictments of some traders.

The banks being sued are: Bank of America, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Japan’s MUFG Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of Scotland, Societe Generale, Standard Chartered and UBS.

Investors typically opt out of litigation when they hope to recover more by suing on their own…

…This manipulation was allegedly done through chat rooms with such names as “The Cartel,” “The Mafia” and “The Bandits’ Club,” through tactics with such names as “front running,” “banging the close,” “painting the screen” and “taking out the filth.”

“By colluding to manipulate FX prices, benchmarks, and bid/ask spreads, defendants restrained trade, decreased competition, and artificially increased prices, thereby injuring plaintiffs,” the 221-page complaint said.

Norway’s central bank Norges Bank and the big public pension fund California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) are among the several other named plaintiffs….

  3. Cryto-currency is a dialectic.

One the one hand, it is nothing but a black-market for currency under the capitalist, global order.

On the other hand it might be an escape from the Empire dollar.

Don’t be duped and go out to the black-market and buy crypto-currency. You will encounter fees and vultures.
Don’t buy gold or silver, you can’t buy milk with it and it is controlled by banks.

By the way, James, VZ is repatriating their gold. As are many countries.

Fight. The system. And when you do this you create your own system.

  4. I’m not sure where is James Pilato going with the “making water out of thin air” story, bit that trope just refuses to die. If that’s a reference to the idea to get the water out of humidity in the air, the same concept has already received crowd funding and failed multiple times. This idea sure is tantalizing, but it will probably never go anywhere.

If you really want to collect some water out of perspiration, put a large bag over a small tree and leave it there for a while, some water will condense in due time.

    • I’m not sure if this is what Pilato was referring to…
However, there was a competition with different teams. A few weeks ago, David Hertz and his wife, Laura Doss-Hertz won the $1.5 million XPrize For Water Abundance.
      https://www.apnews.com/88077278c6b04658952ad7a148219b73
There are some videos around about it.

I have a portable de-humidifier, which will crank out a gallon or two daily. It comes in handy during the hot humid weather in north Texas to make the home air environment ‘less sticky’.
But damn if I will drink that stuff.

I don’t know much about the ramifications of air-water systems. It seems to me that pollutants in the air could get mixed in with the water from such systems.
One factor that I am sure of, is that of microbe build-up in hose lines and storage tanks. This issue would need to be addressed for long term use.
For example: Many of your undercounter home water filtration systems have a storage tank. Over time, it gathers a lot of microbial growth.

        • Ozone is a fantastic water anti-microbial application. I would use it for local household source. It won’t work well for a long, city-wide piping system, because the ozone depletes.

I agree. “Water from air production”. It seems very inefficient to me.

ha!! I am laughing to myself.
I guess “Water from air production” is what chemtrails is all about.

    • It’s not a new idea, of course. There is at least one small machine that can be purchased that goes outside a home that will produce air-water in much smaller amounts. I researched the question of water production in remote areas years ago. It was developed during the first of the water scare.

However, after reading the article, the monetary gift was given for producing large amounts of water via an inexpensive process which could be applied to areas where clean water is unavailable–or at least that was the ‘presenting’ reason. Altruism, basically.

      • He did produce a lot of water. I noticed that.
And you are right, the objective is to make it viable for folks in parts of the world who don’t have access to fresh water easily.
        I like that.
On some videos, they showed some of the other teams and their ideas. It was kind of neat.

  5. Solid?

    Solid as a rock?

Well I guess anyone who has worked on particle accelerators knows that rocks are not actually that solid. Just a thin cloud of particles with lots of space in between.

I think I’d rather go back to Gopher…

  6. Sex Bot Brothel by Consent? I went WHAAAAT? So I looked it up, of course. OMG. Followers of Corbett and other independent news were already aware that the ‘sex’ application of human-like robotics would be the initial one put into general use among the public. At least 40% of the internet is used for sex applications today. However, it’s really creepy to see it in action. Here’s a portion of a CNET article regarding the subject. There’s a creepy video presented on other links–Ewwwww!

“Sex robots could lead to greater social isolation

The authors of the report and the scholars they cite are fairly unified in the belief that the advent of sex robots could lead to greater social isolation. One big factor: Sex robots are easy to have sex with, and people who use them could be put off by the additional communication and social interaction that goes into a traditional sexual experience. They also express concern that sex robots could desensitize users to intimacy and empathy.”

Personally, I think most of those people are already socially isolated and we are all the better for it.

If you want to know what Corporate Media want’s you to think about, take a look at the length of this article stub:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filecoin
Compared to the Tim Berners-Lee project:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_(web_decentralization_project)
Compared to this lengthy bread and circuses tripe:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evel_Knievel

Also for kicks, on the Filecoin talk page I gave them/him hell for censoring. He said:
“Jason, there is a lot of extra strict patrol on these cryptocurrency articles. I wouldn’t say you were censored, it was just that you were questioned, which is the wikipedia process.”
    And I said:
“Potato, potato (said differently the second time). The edits were not selective and there were no questions until I asked them. I understand the need for caution, especially against scammers. I wish Wikipedia would spend more caution on the propaganda and corporate media problems, not to mention WP’s own rigged rules that serve the corporatocracy and keep the public in the dark about so much.”

I will be trying to expand that Filecoin and IPFS articles as soon as I feel better.

I would have liked more coverage on the IPFS/Filecoin. Filecoin broke some serious records, but little mention in MSM. That makes me think it’s a legit threat.

Also, FYI, this is a better wiki article, though I have much more to add, update, and cleanup/reorganize:

  9. Tesla Technology Has Been Revived
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ATzLkr9JXk

TSM covers more and more depressing topics. Maybe they should start doing some cat videos.

In this video we encounter something I find to be an immortal trope coming back from the dead over and over again, the idea that what put a stop to Tesla’s “wireless energy” thingy is the “fact” they couldn’t profit from the concept.

Firstly, all spenders today have a meter. In this parallel universe, usage points would still have a meter. Maybe it would be easier than it is today to “steal” energy, but that’s still just another facet of the same problem. It’s probably safe to assume you’d have one receiving antenna for your home to which a meter would be connected, measuring your usage. Tldr: I don’t think the inability to charge for energy use is what put a stop to this supposed concept.

Secondly, the very same people who are against “wireless” as a whole think “wireless energy” is somehow better or healthier that just plain “wireless.” I’m having a hard time coming to terms with this logic.

    • Yeah, they preface the vid with this:

How will technology revolutionize our world? Will it empower individuals and free expression, or tighten the noose of the controllers? It seems that there is a constant paradox, an ebb and flow. Such is the case with Nikola Tesla and his wireless energy tower – which he intended to use to broadcast free wireless energy around the world, combining electricity with communication and information. Instead, the powers that be stopped his plan then. Today, in 2018, Tesla’s dream has been revived, and a company called Visiv swirling in the military industrial complex has erected a new tower with aims to test and someday broadcast wireless electricity to places close and remote around the world. With respect to known military testing on the human nervous system, will it free the world, or further confine it? At this point, who can say… but it is a little strange, a little exciting and just a bit eerie that a new Tesla tower is up and running! What do you think???

Well it does have some creepy draw back now that the US Navy (Military) has control of the technology and has active board members of that Dallas company that put up the new Tesla Tower…
