  1. No, Social Media Should Not Be A Public Utility
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIuBERhA8Jg

    An important message from Broze, he mentions Jimmy Dore as well, so it’s nice to hear I’m probably not 100% certified insane because I find these calls to even more government meddling by people who’re supposed to be anti-establishment to be completely insane.

  2. Senate Votes To End Yemen War!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-ZmdfVUxUg

    This is an interesting development. I’m sure nothing will evolve from this vote, they didn’t vote when they were going in, so why would they vote to get out?

    Ignore the climate change tropes, butt Jimmy Dore manages to stumbles onto true nature of voting but I don’t think he managed to get to a breakthrough, this time at least.

    Also, an excellent oneliner in the end: “So, a bit of good news that actually reminds you of all the bad news.” Duke Nukem couldn’t have said it better, bless his animated soul.

    • I don’t think he qualifies as a gatekeeper, at worst he’s just not very well informed.

      His ideas are very wobbly, he probably thinks he’s anti-establishment, but at the same time he’s very socialized and of course doesn’t realize it. I know certain people in my area, also comedians but with a lot less audience, people who’d consider themselves anti-establishment but as soon as someone mentions a possible and obvious solution they put on the party bandana and pull out the old trusty “what can you do about it, it’s how it is” adage.

      Of all human traits, I despise hypocrisy the most. To have some anti-establishment figure clamoring for governmental intervention into whatnot it quite sickening, but at least it’s also very obvious so you can quickly get the general idea whom you’re dealing with.

      Dore will come to the precipice of misunderstanding and almost manage to fathom a coherent, original thought, but I don’t think here’s there just yet. Mostly in his shows he parrots stuff he gets on the MSM, he obviously doens’t question parts of it, relying on the confirmation bias instead.

      There’s a whole lot of red flags on his show, like the “gun control” issue, the ever evolving “climate change” or the “social media public utility” fiasco or the undying “lets vote changes in” bullshit. He digs many of the mainstream red herrings, but there’s more layers on that onion than he’d care to imagine.

      The guy is a comedian and mostly he promotes other people’s thoughts without much of his own to add, besides often humorous commentary. I skip almost all of his videos on voting, but I like keeping tabs on many of the MSM nuggets he manages to unearth. Also, I think he has a decent potential to access a wider range of audience, to at least partially wake them up to the real state of affairs.

      He may be a gatekeeper. His connection with the young turks doesn’t help this argument of mine, but I think he’s just an unwitting participant.

  3. I don’t think that’s a matter of “having phone numbers” as much as being an issue of “the telecommunications company has a fascist pact with the entity known to the plebs as the government.”

    • Again, I don’t see that as being an issue in this instance.

      The telecommunications company has the numbers, obviously. Even if numbers are not listed, they have them. They may not have names associated to these numbers (i.e. “burner” phones), so the whole privacy thing may be a bit moot, but they obviously can and do track your comings and goings and if they record and analyze texts and calls en masse then they probably know your name and your first hamster pet’s name as well. That’s assuming you have a “stupid” phone which doesn’t have the monitoring capability of its smarter brother in which case they could be aware of the possible cardiac arrhythmia you may have.

      The gubment managed, thanks to whichever public safety claptrap nonsense excuse, to institute a mechanism through which “they” can send through whatever they wish to, plausibly, all users. I don’t think there’s anything pointing at the possibility they are sending to specific people based on their identity. They may start targeting specific geographical areas, that should be fairly easy to do.

      Were these messages customized on a per user basis, you’d have an argument, but as it is I don’t think anonymity is any more of an issue than it was before you received the first gubment warning text. Simply by having a phone you are basically relinquishing your right to privacy and I personally can’t see how does this new thing exacerbate the issue.

      With this move “they” are showing us that the mobile communications network has become a “public utility” for all intents and purposes.

      • Those are all legitimate concerns. But the only solution is to dump the phone. Or at least get a faraday box for it to rest while it isn’t needed.

        After all, government push notifications are for your safety.

  4. I had some personal “Good News” and Fun today.

    A guy calls me regarding some information about some assets which my siblings control. He is in the oil and gas business.

    We are chatting. He tells me that his Austin, TX office is going to have a “Conspiracy Party”. Evidently, they are a lot of fun. One of his fellow employees had a “Conspiracy Party” in Dallas not long ago. Each person is given 5 minutes to present a conspiracy. He was trying to figure out what to do for the party.

    I told him: “Man! You will win hands-down with this! Watch James Corbett’s How Big Oil Conquered the World! It is really good and there are so many aspects…for example…we used to have a lot of public transportation, but it was deliberately destroyed….

    As we were talking, he pulled it up on his computer. He says, “Oh yea! I gotta watch it.”

    So…who knows…maybe James Corbett will be the life of the party.

    • What kind of party hats conspiracy party goers wear? … tin foil.

      *drum roll*

    • Speaking about conspiracies…

      Today Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland revealed she is a Conspiracy Theorist!

      Here is what she had to say today about Jamal Khashoggi’s murder:

      “The murder of Jamal Khashoggi is abhorrent and represents an unconscionable attack on the freedom of expression of all individuals,” Freeland said in a press release.

      “Canada continues to call for a credible and independent investigation. Those responsible for Jamal Khashoggi’s murder must be held to account and must face justice.”

      In the meantime, she has placed sanctions on 17 individuals
      she believes are complicit in her conspiracy theory:

      Mansour Othman ABAHUSSAIN (born 10 or 11 August 1972)
      Naif Hassan ALARIFI (born 28 February 1986)
      Fahad Shabib ALBALAWI (born 24 January 1985)
      Meshal Saad ALBOSTANI (born 27 March 1987)
      Thaar Ghaleb ALHARBI (born 1 August 1979)
      Abdulaziz Mohammed ALHAWSAWI (born 20 July 1987)
      Mustafa Mohammed ALMADANI (born 8 December 1961)
      Badr Lafi ALOTAIBI (born 6 July 1973)
      Khalid Aedh ALOTAIBI (born 28 June 1988)
      Mohammad AL-OTAIBI (born 6 November 1964)
      Saif Saad ALQAHTANI (born 1973)
      Saud AL-QAHTANI (born 7 July 1978)
      Turki Muserref ALSEHRI (born 1982)
      Waleed Abdullah ALSEHRI (born 5 November 1980)
      Mohammed Saad ALZAHRANI (born 8 March 1988)
      Maher Abdulaziz MUTREB (born 23 May 1971)
      Salah Mohammed TUBAIGY (born 20 August 1971)

      Who would ever have believed that Canada has a crazy tin-foil-hat-
      wearing conspiracy theorist as their Foreign Affairs Minister?

      • For you see it is perfectly legitimate for a Canadian
        politician to become a conspiracy theorist,
        but woe is the poor American/Canadian/world-citizen
        who declares something like:

        “The murder of 3000 Americans is abhorrent and represents an unconscionable attack on the freedom of expression of all individuals.

        America/Canada/the world continues to call for a credible and independent investigation of 9/11. Those responsible for the murders must be held to account and must face justice.”

  5. Last week (or the week before) on “New World Next Week”, there was mention about a scientific study showing that bearded men….

    There were beard jokes in the comment section.

  6. Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shenanigan

    What’s in a name? 😉

  7. Guess who came to Big Oil Town this week end. That’s right the grand walking ostomy bag Sen.James Inhoff, Chairman of Armed Services Committee. The Grand PoopBag had this to say : Tulsa World BHMG
    Headline Dec.1,2018: Inhoff defends military spending.
    “The U.S. may still be a military giant, but the midgets are getting a lot more dangerous,”
    “Used to be only the giants had WMDs, now everybody has them.”
    “You can have a country with no resources, but if they have a WMD, they’re actually more of a threat because other countries have more to lose.”
    “We use to be worry about giants. We don’t worry about giants so much because anybody can have a weapon of mass destruction.”
    ” …the battlefields more likely to be on the internet, the laboratory or a single weapon in the hands of a few determined adversaries.”

    Does that sound sane given the audit? He proves Washington is cookoo! God help the midway performers.

  8. Can anyone direct me toward some articles tackling the issue of a country entering the Euro zone and effects of said move on local economy?

    • mmmm okaaaayyy, you’re quoting the central bank.

      I’ve seen estimates of 0.2% price increase by “experts” while we very well know that, for example, Italy was hit so hard by the swap to Euro that people employed full time now live with their entire families out of their car on outskirts of Rome in an ever increasing number. In their case prices literally doubled overnight. A friend living in Italy for a long time now says the situation is getting unbearable, people taking on really shoddy jobs for 500€ per month just to get by for a month or two.

      The last time we got shafted really hard was sometime in the late 90es when a new flat tax of 22% was introduced. It was slated to *replace* various tax rates that were present at the time (I think it was mostly 16%) but instead, surprise surprise, everything went up 22% over night. It’s what I refer to as the duck and roll principle – shoot the prices up and then cower and wait for people to blow off steam and just ride it out.

      Another issue is that we currently have practically a fixed ratio to Euro anyway and that has completely destroyed our economy in favor of out of control imports so in that regard swapping to Euro might not be that terrible, most of it has been completely destroyed anyway. But people here are so fond of price gouging, I can’t but feel a tad worried.

      BTW Macron is a champ.

      • Nice Forbes excerpt about the EURO.

        …and…
        I like this quote…

        manbearpig says:
        Don’t need convincing the deck’s stacked against the people.

    • EXCERPTS
      The medical ‘crusader’ said he purposely got himself arrested with enough cannabis to force a jury trial that would be more likely to acquit him.

      The court heard from parents of children with intractable epilepsy – cases that do not respond to conventional medication.

      ‘This isn’t a theoretical issue that we’re dealing with, it’s a real issue of life and death.’

      His ‘patients’ also included two anti-vaccine parents who stole their disabled four-year-old boy from a Brisbane hospital in April 2017.

      Marc Alexander Steven, 28, and Jacinda ‘Cini’ Walker, 26, took their son from Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital after he was admitted against their will.

      Mr Katelaris said the jury came around to his way of thinking over the course of the marathon trial and took just a few hours to find him not guilty….
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      I like the sign in his place
      The Law is the Crime
  9. I think here is a GOOD news, maybe even without a taint
    Dark web dealers voluntarily ban deadly fentanyl
    https://www.theguardian.com/society/2018/dec/01/dark-web-dealers-voluntary-ban-deadly-fentanyl?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
    Story in the article goes a bit differently, in guardian-readers style.
    With the same data one could make a completely different story.
    Guardian: “They are “delisting” the high-strength painkiller, effectively classifying it alongside mass-casualty firearms and explosives as commodities that are considered too high-risk to trade.”
    Effectively classifying…let’s make another effective classification.
    What people need?
    Some people need drugs. People don’t need mass-casualty firearms and explosives. Mafia needs this stuff, illegal and/or legal mafia. (ok, americans can have their guns or stashes).
    Looks like Fentanyl can be a poison. I don’t think dealers stop selling it just because it’s too risky because of police, something Guardian is saying. Risk is in-calculated, already present with other things, sometimes with death-toll included.
    Maybe it was just over the top for dealers or market operators to sell drug-poison.
    I would spin this story: People ain’t that bad, even dealers ain’t that bad (except snake-oil pushers).
    • These sellers seem to operate under free market principles.
