5 Conspiracy “Theories” That Became Conspiracy FACTS

Long-time listeners/readers/viewers of mine will be very familiar with the old “conspiracy theorist” smear and how it is used to stop any would-be truth seekers from questioning the official explanation of contentious events. They will also know how the term can be turned on its head and thrust back in the accusers’ face (“shut up, burglary theorist!”).

But there’s another effective tool to add to your conspiracy conversation toolbox: actual, historical examples of conspiracy “theories” that were proven to be conspiracy facts.

So here are some examples of things that were once derided as zany conspiracy paranoia and are now accepted as mundane historical fact. Can you think of any other examples? Leave them in the comments below.

Governments stage false flag terror events

The very idea of false flag terrorism was incomprehensible to many people when I first started The Corbett Report in 2007. Back then the inevitable response to “9/11 was an inside job” was “But why would the government attack itself?” I’m happy to say that has changed, largely due to the efforts of the independent media and their audience educating the public about the logic behind this conspiracy “theory” fact.

For me, the arrow-through-the-brain moment that led me to realize that the concept of false flags had finally gained general acceptance was an article that The Atlantic Wire was compelled to publish in the wake of the Boston marathon incident (and that was even picked up by Yahoo): “What is a ‘False Flag’ Attack — and Was Boston One?” The article’s arguments and conclusions are beside the point; the fact that a mainstream publication had to address the false flag “theories” indicates the dinosaur was finally starting to realize they were heading toward extinction.

So when exactly did the “theory” of false flag terrorism become recognized as fact? It’s difficult to say, if only because false flag attacks have been an established part of the historical record for hundreds of years with many examples from every era and every corner of the globe . . . it’s just that you never learned this history in high school (for some reason or other).

Of the many, many, many examples throughout history of governments staging attacks to blame on their enemies, perhaps the simplest and most straightforward one to present to the skeptics and naysayers would be Operation Gladio. Gladio, as my listeners are no doubt aware, was the codename for the secret NATO/CIA stay-behind armies that were ostensibly placed throughout Europe just in case the dastardly Russkies invaded. In reality, they conducted activities to undermine their political enemies in European countries, activities that included—you guessed it—false flag terrorism.

There’s no speculation needed here. There have been parliamentary inquiries into the nature and activities of these secret armies. There have been resolutions passed in the European Parliament condemning the US and NATO for their role in manipulating European politics. There have been scholarly treatises written on the Gladio program and on the information about it contained in the public record. Heck, even the Big Brother Corporation and the Old Grey Presstitute herself have done feature stories and exposés on the program (although, unsurprisingly, not a lot of follow up).

The CIA ran mind control experiments on unwitting Americans

It’s one of the oldest “conspiracy theorist” tropes out there: Some tinfoil hat-wearing loon is convinced that the government is trying to use mind control on him to turn him into a deranged killer. What a kook, right? That would never happen in real life, would it?

You bet it would. What we don’t know about Project MKULTRA and its affiliated projects could probably fill several warehouses with books, but what we do know is voluminous (and scary) enough. The formerly top-secret program was as horrific as any dystopian fantasy ever devised . . . and is now openly acknowledged and documented.

But don’t believe me, believe that bastion of truthiness, Wikipedia! Even the Wiki article on the subject admits that the project was completely illegal, employed unwitting test subjects, and attempted to “manipulate people’s mental states and alter brain functions” through the surreptitious administration of drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse (including the sexual abuse of children), and other forms of torture.”

The powers-that-shouldn’t-be and their lapdog press generally try to play down MKULTRA by assuring us that it was scrapped in 1973 (“would the CIA ever lie to us?”). But simply pointing to the documented horrors that took place during the officially acknowledged period of the officially acknowledged program’s officially acknowledged existence is enough to make even the government’s bootlickiest bootlickers squirm in their seats.

The government is spraying us from the skies

It is incumbent on everyone who wishes to remain in the respectable, polite circles of society that they deride all chemtrail theorists as kooky fringe-nut wingbats (or whatever the ad hominem du jour is). I mean, who could actually believe that the government would ever coordinate a program to spray toxic chemicals on unwitting citizens?

Except, of course, for the pesky little fact that the US government did do precisely that. In the San Francisco Bay Area in 1950, to be precise. The covert US Navy experiment was codenamed “Operation Sea-Spray,” and for once you don’t need to be a mind-reader to figure out what the program actually did. They sprayed people. From the sea. Pretty straightforward, hey?

But wait, what were they spraying people with, exactly? Oh, just Serratia marcescens. You know, the “rod-shaped gram-negative bacteria in the family Enterobacteriaceae” that just happens to be a human pathogen?

And what did the Navy hope to accomplish with this experiment? Why, to “determine the susceptibility of a big city like San Francisco to a bioweapon attack by terrorists,” of course.

And what did they actually accomplish? The death of at least one person and the hospitalization of many others.

Which, I suppose, answers the experimenters’ question, doesn’t it? Are San Franciscans susceptible to a bioweapon attack by terrorists? Well, yes, evidently . . . assuming by the word “terrorist” you mean the US Navy.

So surely this type of thing was just a one-off. They never tried something like this before or since, right? . . . Right?

. . . Oh, of course they did.

But don’t worry, guys. I’m sure the government wouldn’t be doing anything like this to the unaware masses today. That’s just crazy talk.

Chemicals are turning the male frogs . . . female

As I’ve pointed out before, one particularly well-known conspiracy theorist’s assertion that “chemicals are turning the frogs gay!” has become a meme unto itself. This is unfortunate, because as I’ve also pointed out, this whacked-out nonsensical conspiracy zaniness is almost true.

Consider this LiveScience article from 2010: “Pesticide Turns Male Frogs into Females.”

A commonly used pesticide known as atrazine can turn male frogs into females that are successfully able to reproduce, a new study finds.

While previous work has shown atrazine can cause sexual abnormalities in frogs, such as hermaphroditism (having both male and female sex organs), this study is the first to find that atrazine’s effects are long-lasting and can influence reproduction in amphibians.

The results suggest that atrazine, which is a weed killer used primarily on corn crops, could have potentially harmful effects on populations of amphibians, animals that are already experiencing a global decline, said study author Tyrone B. Hayes of the University of California, Berkeley. Atrazine is banned in Europe.

And since atrazine interferes with the production of the sex hormone estrogen, present in people and frogs, the findings could have implications for humans as well. “If you have problems in amphibians, you can anticipate problems in other animals,” Hayes said.

Though there’s no mention of the frogs’ sexual preferences, pesticides are admittedly bending the genders of amphibians. And to top it all off this phenomenon “could have implications for humans as well.” That’s actually a pretty big deal. But I guess if you want to make trendy hipsters laugh, just tell them these completely admitted scientific facts about the pesticides that are wreaking untold havoc on our environment and then do your best impression of a loud-mouthed Texan ranting about gay frogs. You’ll have your friends in stitches.

Meanwhile, for those who are actually concerned about the effects these chemicals are having on the human population, you might want to check out some of my previous work on the subject.

The government lies us into war

Alright, OK, in the post-Iraq War world, the conspiracy “theory” that governments lie their populations into war seems to be a pretty universally acknowledged conspiracy fact. But still, the left was all on board with Obama’s humanitarian love bombing of Libya and the push to arm and equip the jihadis in Syria (in the name of saving Syria), and the right is once again jumping on board with the “Bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran” neocon nonsense (to save the poor Iranians, of course!), so everyone could do with a refresher on this count.

Once again, the only problem is choosing which example of war lies to highlight. So how about this one: the lies that led to the Iraq War. No, not that Iraq War. The other one. The First Gulf War, aka “Operation Desert Shield/Operation Desert Storm,” in 1990-1991. Many lies were used to whip the public into a war frenzy that time around, but one lie sticks out to many of us who lived through the era: the throwing-babies-from-incubators story.

The story was presented in headline-grabbing, tear-jerking testimony before the Congressional Human Rights Congress in October 1990. It came from Nayirah, a “young Kuwaiti girl” who told the world in an emotional speech how she, as a young volunteer at the al-Addan hospital in Kuwait, had watched as armed Iraqi troops “took the babies out of the incubators, took the incubators and left the children to die on the cold floor.” The only problem? “Nayirah” was not some anonymous Kuwaiti girl, but, as a subsequent CBC investigation discovered, Nayirah Al-Sabah, daughter of Saud Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States. Her testimony had been written for her by Hill & Knowlton, a PR firm hired by the Kuwaiti government itself to help sell the Gulf War.

Yes, a PR agency literally dreamed up one of the most effective pieces of propaganda used to peddle the Gulf War to the public. And you thought Wag the Dog was just a movie.

  1. So here are some examples of things that were once derided as zany conspiracy paranoia that are now accepted as mundane historical fact. Can you think of any other examples?

This may not really count as accepted historical fact but, for some curious reason, Hollywood is writing into scripts our government’s part in killing JFK. There is a movie starring Mark Wahlburg who portrays a sniper framed by an evil genius embedded in government. The hero finds help in another retired sniper who casually mentions his part the day the president was murdered. Another recent example is from a television series remake of Three Days of the Condor. In it, the framed CIA hero is told to make his surrender very public, then he’ll be safe, but he responds, “THEY shot Oswald on national TV!”

  2. Somewhere along the Georgia/Florida Line (I live along it on the Easterly part of it), the US dumped a bunch of mosquitoes with Yellow Fever. How nice of them. Also, in that Desert Shield monstrosity, King Fahd had given a bunch of water to the US Military. It was not exactly good quality. We were not told this, just given the water so as not to insult the King. Of course, this was also ALL the water we had to drink. Dysentery is just more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Especially when it leads into hypothermia and damn near kills you. Oh government, is there nothing you can’t turn to filth? JimBob who still remembers how surprisingly fast that cold speck spreads in hypothermia. And people wonder why he stays in the Deep South.

    • That’s awful, JimBob, there and at home.

I’ve often wondered the extent to which Americans are infected by bio weapons. Lyme disease, I strongly suspect, is one of them. Another that is very scary is chagas disease, spreading like wildfire here in the South (though I don’t know if it itself is an actual bioweapon, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was – getting it is an incurable, slow death sentence). Years ago, we learned all about it when we had two young labrador pups infected from it: the first one couldn’t keep up with the other – he frequently stopped and just sat. I took him to the vet and they called the next morning to say he just died! Long story short, we asked to have heart tissue analyzed for chagas, and sure enough… The second pup was found to have it too, though not showing symptoms yet, likely got it through the mother’s milk; it was recommended that we put her to sleep even though she wasn’t yet symptomatic. That event was a terrible, heartbreaking education. The flying carriers are everywhere, and quite aggressive. Have you seen these bugs?! They feed on all mammals, including humans:

      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triatominae

      • Pearl, I just read the Texas A&M article on it. While they think it’s the Kissing Bug, since about half carry it, they pretty much say they have no idea where it comes from. I’ve been around those bugs my whole life. Always just thought they were cool, and since they never attacked me (like many insects love to do!), I always just sort of observed them. I’m prone to being fascinated by things. Now I find out they were one of the more dangerous critters out there. Or at least they think it is. JimBob whose only clarity out of all of this learning is there’s now one more thing that bought a ticket to kill him. Well c’mon buddy, only one of you can win! (Ends with Rocky theme music)… Actually, sorry about your puppies. It seems that even if that second puppy never exhibited any symptoms, she would have remained a carrier and infected others. And I’ve never even heard of it before. But, of course there is Lyme Disease from the wonderful nazis of Plum Island.

        • We have that in common, a fascination with bugs; spiders, snakes, etc, I’m not at all squeamish about them (except roaches…shudder). But those kissing bugs I don’t hesitate to smash when I encounter them. Widespread education really needs to happen there, because dog kennels are a major source. Since that ordeal, I’d never leave my dog at one, nor would I have it live outside.

Interesting trivia, we also learned that Darwin very likely died of chagas disease. One of the diary entries mentions the men being entertained by one of these bugs who wasn’t at all shy but quite feisty.

          • Well, at least those bugs had a good purpose when they got Darwin! Though I actually enjoyed reading his work. I’m pretty sure that fittest is a broad category, no matter how much science tries to punch it into little narrow slots. I used to love to lay on the ground and just watch the bugs crawl along and wonder where they were going and what all went on with their lives. Even today, I’m liable to just crawl under a bush and just start looking at the leaves. You’d be surprised at the life in a single bush! It’s an easy way to pass a lazy summer day, though I’ve never learned a single real name of any of those bugs. They just won’t tell me what they are! So rude in that bug world, no manners whatsoever. JimBob who would go out now and look, but the game chickens thin them out pretty well at his spot.

      • pearl,
Sorry to hear about your dog(s).
I am a real dog lover.

I just finished brewing my HomeRemedy Mosquito Deterrent Tea yesterday. Chiggers and mosquitoes…hate those pests.

        • Thanks, HRS. Real dog lover, you and me both. How I could’ve used your brew about six weeks ago – good lord, those chiggers! Do tell!

    • VOA, you are wrong. You are talking about the wrong war. I was in Saudi/Iraq in late 89 through about May 90. That was the Desert Storm time frame. And in Desert Storm we were all over Saudi. As a matter of fact, I was actually lucky enough to be in at tent city (just by the airfield) when the first SCUD missile got intercepted over-head. I woke up checking the seal on my promask. And it was good, though there really was no danger.

      • VOA, Desert Shield was the stage before Desert Storm. I got there sometime in Nov. of 90. The unit had been there for months. I got the year off. I was in Panama before then. I can remember it now because of a race I had run in Panama (88.3 K! Never ran again after that one!). And I KNOW what operation I was in. It sucked ass. It is burned into my brain as to it’s absolute stupidity. I don’t remember the name of the water for sure, but I think it was called King Faud water. And if you’ve ever had dysentery, you will remember that one for sure! Especially when you are lucky enough to be sleeping in clay a foot deep that sheep (who aren’t housetrained) have just been through all day long and then it gets really cold and you have nothing to stay warm with. I’m pretty hazy on it all, as you can see. I’ve been in a fair amount of shit in my life, so it’s not hard for me to get one year off on one of them. JimBob who ain’t the least bit confused on what he’s done or who he is.

        • Iraq has plenty of clay. In case you were too busy chasing the dragon you are chasing, I thought I’d remind you that I was in both countries. The blackhawk invasion came OUT of Saudi INTO Iraq. I don’t really care if you believe me or not. I quit reading yours after you said Saudi hasn’t any clay. I’m honestly tired of your insinuating I’m a liar. I don’t give a rat’s ass if you think you’re vetting me or not. I’m tired of it. And now that I AM ticked off (since you’ve devoted so much time to calling me a liar, and you aren’t even anybody I fucking know, so what’s up with that bs?) I am re-reading your crap. And it wasn’t that hot. It had record rains. I got flooded out of my fighting position one night because of it. It ain’t nearly as bad heat wise as the jungle is. Which is where I came from when I got there. And you can go fuck yourself on saying I don’t know what op it was. That’s not something you forget. If you were half as tough as all the war-mongering you do calls for, you’d know that. But, you’re just another armchair warrior who can now go fuck himself as far as I’m concerned. We are done. JimBob who has taken as much as he’s gonna take.

        • And, VOA, just because you HAVE finally ticked me off; I’d like you to know that dysentery ain’t no 24 hr. bug. I was still having problems with it for months after I got back from DESERT STORM. The war YOU think I must have mixed up with some imaginary video game war that you specialize in. And now, I’m really done with you. All you wind up doing here is accusing everyone of being dis-info. I’d like to remind your of this simple fact. I do not care what you think I am. I do not need your validation. I know who I am. I know what kind of man I am. And I am certain that I don’t need your help to be what I already am; a man. JimBob who just gets tired of little doggies always yapping.

    • For clarification, if anyone may wander into these parts and be left questioning some of the misinformation presented.

The Gulf War (2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991), codenamed Operation Desert Shield (2 August 1990 – 17 January 1991) for operations leading to the buildup of troops and defense of Saudi Arabia and Operation Desert Storm (17 January 1991 – 28 February 1991) in its combat phase, was a war waged by coalition forces from 35 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq’s invasion and annexation of Kuwait.

I’m not a history buff, but from this Wikipedia quote it follows that The Gulf War had two parts. The preparation phase had a cool codename Operation Desert Shield and the combat part was codenamed Desert Storm.

The problem here is that Operation Desert Shield was reused later for an operation by the Iraqi insurgency and al-Qaeda, at least nominally since we all know what al-Qaeda stands for. But history states that operation with the same name ocured in 2006.

Operation Desert Shield was a 2006 operation by the Iraqi insurgency and al-Qaeda in Iraq, planned in December 2005 as a push against American forces during the Iraq War. The goal was to destabilize the American foothold in the Anbar province over the course of six months.

      Further:

Operation Desert Shield began on 7 August 1990 when US troops were sent to Saudi Arabia due also to the request of its monarch, King Fahd, who had earlier called for US military assistance.
From this follows that US troops were indeed stationed in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf Ward.

I can not verify any of the claims made regarding the water supply. However, one of the posters on the following blog states diarrhea was caused by contaminated food.

      blogs.va.gov/VAntage/1197/operation-desert-storm-20-years-later/

Severe diarrhea was observed in troops eating at the mess hall located in the tent camp just off of King Abdul Azziz Airfield in Riyadh during December of 1990. I was one of the casualties. We traced the problems to contaminated food. Similar problems occurred all over the theater of operations through at least May 1991. At one time during April we had so many at KKMC that were sick and because we did not have the medical supplies required to treat them, we just let them ride it out without medical care

      youtube.com/watch?v=Bi1h7W29Zhc

Bedouins do, in fact, herd camels, goats and sheep, depending on the region.

      I’d say, JimBob – VoA 5:1.

      • mkey, while I appreciate your diligence and I suppose others do as well; I just wanted to add that if someone doesn’t buy what I wrote; I don’t care. I know who I am, but I don’t really know who anyone here is; so why would it be otherwise? I am sure you understand this attitude as I’ve seen you display it yourself before; but this is for just anyone else out there. I have enough trouble keeping up with the thoughts in my own head to worry about how people who don’t know me, nor have any understanding of my situation(s), etc. Just saying. JimBob who does wonder why VOA is talking up his humidity though as deserts are practically devoid of the moisture required for said humidity. Not that I’m ticked at being called a liar in such a cowardly fashion. Not me; I’m far too mature for such childish behavior as that.

      • In Iraq, I laid down in clay mud. Outside some village outside of some place called Al Khadir (spelling is off, but what the hell it’s been over 25 years and I didn’t go into tht town anyway). And even though it was mud (record rainfalls) there wasn’t that much humidity. Congratulations on once again calling someone a liar for not saying what you think is correct. JimBob who waits until he’s sure before he calls someone a liar.

        • VOA, you are calling people liars and dis-info for the slightest of reasons. When called out on it, all of a sudden you claim your English isn’t good enough to understand. Having read your letters here, I know that is a lie. You are simply a weak-minded person who has no tolerance for the slightest differences in anything. You are even now calling me a liar, though not like a man would do, while claiming you are some paragon of virtue. In fact, you are the one who has been caught in lying with your statements of not understanding. However, I personally find your cowardice to be the greater offense. And no, I was not Special Forces. You are also deliberately stating the date, which I myself admitted was off by a year (it’s been 25 freaking years, you arrogant little twat! And my life hasn’t been so passive as yours obviously has been. Real men, who’ve been through real events, aren’t so shy about being a REAL man. Unless of course their metal wasn’t tough enough to survive the forge of their life). So, once again, if you want to continue to point out motes in other people’s eyes you might want to check out the giant forests in your own. As it is, now that you’ve proven you are a liar, nothing you say will ever be counted as significant again. You have done this; not me. You called mkey a liar because he quoted wikileaks. How ridiculous! You have even taken (probably out of ignorance as you obviously have no idea of anything remotely military in nature)my last statement out of context. I didn’t say I was in a military base. You did. I was in a ditch. In the mud. I thought that was very clear. certainly clear enough for your level of English. I was awaiting a mission. As a regular troop. Which I’ve stated repeatedly. As for your statements; you have spread dis-info in your latest comment by your representing of what others said. Not that I think you’re worthy enough to be paid for your dis-info; I just think you’re an idiot. JimBob who really dislikes little people who keep twisting words around to suit themselves. When I’m wrong, I’ll tell ya I’m wrong. But calling me a liar, when you are lying is inexcusable.

          • VOA, you have not lived a very peaceful life if you act the way you do here in real life. I have traveled as well. So? You are the one fomenting hate here. You call people liars and dis-info at the slightest pretext. You don’t even do it as a man, but as a mouse. And to keep it civil; I will now refrain from any further intercourse with you. Easy enough to do as I despise you. JimBob who will rise up again though if you start your beta crap again on him. Now go and look in the mirror before you slur me again dog. And yes, I know the implications of that word. You have deserved it. Even in your last pathetic comment.

      • And you press on with misinformation.

You should use people on the ground who lived these times. I am one of those..
So you say. Repeatedly. Wikipedia many not be the most reliable source of information, but I wouldn’t deem a random person on the internet who may be just about anyone to be a reliable source, either. I’m not saying information you provide is worthless, but it all goes through the bullshit filter.

Saddam Hussain did not invade Kuwait until 2nd of August 1990. So, it is impossible to have any troops stationed in Saudi for fighting Iraq on the 7th August. Troop deployment takes weeks if planned, and months if unplanned.
You’re really reaching here for a conclusion to support your thesis and it shows. Lets visit the link Wikipedia uses as the source for that statement which for some reason pains you so much.

        web.archive.org/web/20080526135240/http://www.defenselink.mil/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=45404

The Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm Timeline

        WASHINGTON, Aug. 8, 2000 –

Iraq invades Kuwait, Aug. 2, 1990.

Operation Desert Shield begins, Aug. 7.

First U.S. forces (F-15 Eagle fighters from Langley Air Force Base, Va.) arrive in Saudi Arabia, Aug. 7.

So, 5 days an impossible time frame to move some F-15 planes from Langley to Saudi Arabia? 5 days is quite a lot, even with bureaucratic redtape. And that’s if we assume MIC didn’t know what was going to happen in advance, it’s not like Saddam was an US puppet or anything conspiratorial like that. Worse case scenario, they had 5 days to move some planes at their “ally” behest. You say impossible, I very much disagree and that’s just as far as opinions go.

Being a witness on the ground, maybe you were there on 7th of August 1990 and have seen with your own two eyes that there were no US F-15 planes in Saudi Arabia. If that’s the case, your testimony could be taken for what it’s worth, but otherwise you just keep shoveling opinion. With which, in this instance, I disagree, being that “impossible” is just one extreme and “possible” is just about everything else.

And yes, Bedouins “herd” camels, goats and sheep, but only Camels roams the desert. Goats and Sheep are kept close to camp. (away from military installations)
This is pure conjecture. You don’t know the location on which these guys were sleeping, you don’t know whether this location had some sheep on it or not, you don’t know whether these soldiers fancied sodomy so they just bought some sheep to keep at hand. You just don’t know what went on at that specific location at that very specific period. While on a mission, suffering from diarrhea in “enemy” territory, I’d guess a soldier can end up sleeping just about anywhere.

        To be continued…

        • From the very link you provide I arrived to this information.

The hot season lasts for 4.3 months, from May 16 to September 27, with an average daily high temperature above 101°F. The hottest day of the year is July 13, with an average high of 109°F and low of 86°F.

The cool season lasts for 3.1 months, from December 2 to March 6, with an average daily high temperature below 77°F. The coldest day of the year is January 15, with an average low of 52°F and high of 69°F.
So, the cool season gets down to 52°F which is 11°C which in my view is quite cool. I’m not certain which season we’re discussing here, but it stands to reason it’s fall/winter 1990/91.

I’ll readily admit I have never spent any time in a desert, but it stands to reason that without much flora in a rural setting morning temperatures can get quite low. Even in moderate climates, such as in my area, and with lush fauna mornings in rural areas get very chilly, with daily variations of 25°C and above. Again, a personal account from a perspective of sleeping nicely tucked in a bed instead of sleeping outside in the open, waking up to a possibly very frisky morning.

        • That I mean well was your conjecture in the first place, you may do with that what you will.

There is quite a lot of meaning in what you don’t say, isn’t there? You don’t say much, but you imply a lot. I see why JimBob got ticked off, which doesn’t really excuse him from doing it, but I have other plans. I’ll stick to correcting what can be corrected and discerning fact from opinion.

          Again, from that untrustworthy wikipedia.

Sodomy (/ˈsɒdəmi/) is generally anal or oral sex between people or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal (bestiality), but it may also mean any non-procreative sexual activity.

Again, there’s a very tangible probability MIC knew in advance what was going to happen. Fact is, you can not claim it’s impossible to get people there in 5 days. I’ll use as an example the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

          – Bush repeated that Saddam must disarm to avoid the invasion on January 31st
          – Blair stated the same to the house of commons on February 25th
          – Bush demands that Saddam and his sons leave Iraq, with a two day deadline on March 17th
          – UK house of commons vote March 18th
          – bombing started on March 18th
          – presidents if Spain and Portugal met with Blair and Bush on Azores on March 20th
          – invasion began on March 20th

5 days impossible to deploy some pilots to Saudi Arabia? These people know very well that popular support for these actions is very short lived and they have to act accordingly, they can’t allow themselves to wait usual weeks and months for deployment.

          • VOA, if you are going to include what I did, maybe you should have some idea of what you are talking about. You are full of it. I was there for a while before that storm got started. You are now saying I was there for just a few days? None of that statement even makes sense. Nor your previous one before this. You have no idea how complex the logistics are for the troop movements you speak, but that doesn’t stop you from acting as if you were in Bush’s inner council on the whole shebang. It took them a while to get everything into place, not days. What kind of idiot thinks all of this can simply be transported into the area Star Trek style? Yet, your complete ignorance of the subject doesn’t stop you from calling everyone else a liar. Explain to all of us how quoting wikileaks for time frames makes Mkey a liar? Please….. please…. please….talk about something you know something about. Like getting drunk in bars, which is what you have based all your argument upon.

          • Of course it’s time for you to stop. You’ve been called out as the liar. Your response to mkey being one is so childish that I would laugh, except that level of childishness from a supposedly old man is more like dementia than anything else. Keep on with your lies and remember the reason you have to be so suspicious is because you yourself are so sketchy. JimBob who knows VOA is the voice of alcohol. And by the way, your purposeful misrepresentation of mkey’s action in your statement is disinfo. Just saying.

        • Actually Mkey, he was provided that information on where when it was first given, but he chose to ignore it. I also find it amusing that he seems to think the entire country of Saudi Arabia is sand. I spent about a month near the border of Iraq in SA and found clay over the large empty aquifers which caused your footsteps to just wake up everybody all around you at night. Desert has many environments, all of which I don’t like, but I never saw that desert he describes as hot and humid. Deserts are notoriously non-humid. But don’t worry, he’ll continue to lie and call you a liar. Maybe he should go into politics. JimBob who didn’t get there until either late november or early december of 90, so he don’t know when it started; but he does know that quoting wikileaks doesn’t make you a liar as you’ve been called by someone who HAS purposely given bad info. And yes, twisting people’s words around to suit one’s needs is disinfo. Suspicious people must keep suspicious company because they themselves are so sketchy.

        • I’m begging to have doubts you’re being serious. I’ll even go as far as to call you a bald faced liar right in your lying face. A bad one, however.

I specifically stated “pilots” because that site claimed some F-15 jets landed in Saudi Arabia 5 days since the invasion of Kuwait started. It’s that source that stated it, not me. You had problems with the Wikipedia and I refered to it’s source. Now, you’re introducing the 40.000 people deployment. Who and where stated 40.000 troops were deployed 5 days after the invasion?

Lets go back to the source from the web archive.

Operation Desert Storm and air war phase begins, 3 a.m., Jan. 17, 1991 (Jan. 16, 7 p.m. Eastern time).

The air war phase began on January 17th. That’s five and a half months after the Kuwait invasion started. What could have they been doing over that period? Probably deploying the remainder of the troops, past those pilots sent over to Saudi Arabia initially.

When you invoke the now defunct “Corbeteers” you remind me of that seminal work of Lysander Spooner where he describes how the government agents are instructed to call upon help of their cohorts if the tax cattle gives them any trouble.

          • I’d ask to you to provide examples of where have I called you names, but this whole thing is just so ridiculous. You baselessly imply people are lying and now you got lost in the woods while backtracking. Why would anyone do that?

          • I stand behind calling you a liar and a knowing spreader of supplying disinformation. I also stand behind saying you are a reprehensible example of a human being. I didn’t state that one earlier, only now. And how old are you to expect people to believe your infantile lies? JimBob who notes the most childish is accusing him of the same flaw. And I’ve never said I was above calling a liar a liar; that’s just acuracy…

  3. I was laughing and laughing…

You could make a ‘Q Video’ and give some people hope.

  4. And what conspiracy fact/theory discussion would be complete without Mr. Kubrik. Just saw this one. I have to admit, I don’t know any of the occult symbolism stuff. Religious symbolism of all types sort of just amuses me. It seems to have power over people, but I never got it. Sort of like the flag has always looked like a giant colored cloth to me. Not that I’m immune to a lot of other stuff though. But this video did strike my fancy a bit, and I know that many others are fascinated by this guy, so I included this video which was just done on Eyes Wide Shut:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUlStJ__UuU

JimBob who’s never seen this movie, though the first VCR tape that he bought was Clockwork Orange; and he thinks of it differently now than he did then.

  5. The very fact a term such as “conspiracy theorist” has been so well established and ubiquitous should speak volumes. It’s a mental shortcut, nothing more.

  6. Oh yes, can’t believe I forgot this one. The whole Q thing as a conspiracy. Which of course tells everyone to just be passive and trust the plan. Meanwhile, domestic security is tightening on schedule. Sure it’s just a coincidence. JimBob who finds it amusing that the very group that would be jumping up and down with anger are now happy to submit to the plan to keep them nice and sedated.

  7. This may actually be good news. Just watched this interview where Trumpy and Putin are holding their press conference. Talking about how the two countries have 90% of the nukes and trumpy is interested in reducing that number. Just something to think about. JimBob who thinks that zero is a good number for nukes.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRr0EY-qpkE

  8. Howdy folks, just wanted to say that when I shared the Angels in Heaven spoon playin’ clip with my dad, he apparently has seen them play in person ;-). Good blessings to ya’ll

    • Awesome! That must have been amazing.

  9. I watched the recommended video My Story of Being Tortured in Prison. The first time I heard of “Deisel therapy” was in John Grisham’s novel The Racketeer” (pretty good book, btw). The 10 month sentence he served for selling fireworks w/out a license was unjust and disproportionate; cleaning toilets at a local park for a week would’ve been enough punishment. That said, however, going by the title, I was expecting something much worse and prolonged. The single scenario he described was undoubtedly cruel and an abuse of power by a guard, but from my perspective, was more in line with bullying or hazing – not torture.

Sorry, but I had to say it.

    • Pearl, I went up there to check out that link, as I am normally too lazy, and discovered that I had a couple of positive inputs. Wow. How unusual of me. Just had to crow; you know what a showoff we high karma people are. By the way, though I’ve never been to prison and have only experienced about a day and a half in a jail for walking with weed (big surprise there!), it was one of the most dehumanizing experiences I have ever had. The only people that were scary to me were the guards, and they didn’t really like me much. Another big surprise. However, many of the tortures prison has are actually hidden under the guise of help. For example, if you are suicidal, then they will put you on their infamous suicide watch where they wake you up every 15 minutes. Just what a depressed person needs. The guards that I know in real life, and the ones I saw in jail, are not exactly deep thinkers. They are all just high on the adrenaline of it. Or they are all concerned with their own “thin blue line”. I can tell you from a case I was involved in with someone who had gotten badly beaten (for telling the doc that he wasn’t allowed to take the medicine he was being offered at an exorbitant price for his bypass operation. And this fellow was only in jail because of a paperwork glitch)that the written statements never jibe with the video. Just like with cops. And the courts never want to show the videos. Just one big happy family. I could go on for days, so I’ll just end that here.
However, good news possibly. Am watching the Putin/Trump press conference and they are talking of peace with Iran and the Ukraine. No details really. They also addressed trans-national crime. What this really means, no one knows. It could be people like Kim dot.com or it could be something else. But I hope it is something else. Besides me, that is! JimBob who would be surprised if he was considered important enough to arrest since he’s pretty mild nowadays compared to his younger days.

Oh here’s the link to the press conference. Am about to finish watching it now:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzs15z98P6A

      • By the way, I am almost done with this video. It is a MUST SEE! The first half is pretty good, just not that exciting unless you are paying attention to details. However, the second half is DYNAMITE! Putin would like to deal with a person who is connected with the Clintons about taxes (yeah, sure) and Trumpy went out and mentioned straight up The Clinton Foundation, the server, the 33,000 emails. One of the best press conferences I’ve ever seen. Also, they are talking of humanitarian aid together for Syria. Seems legit. Peace? Never dreamed of it before. Nice thought. JimBob who actually registered as a communist just to piss off the person in charge of voting when he was a paratrooper, but wound up voting for Herbert Bush as he got his ballot after the election and didn’t want to screw the whole thing up.

        • I appreciate the link about Trump and Putin.
          Interesting statements were said.
I finally pulled up a transcript and read through it.

The media strains pretty hard to try to “make stuff up”.

          EXCERPTS from Putin
“… We have an acting, an existing agreement between the United States of America and the Russian Federation, an existing treaty, that dates back to 1999, the mutual assistance on criminal cases. …
…Then we would expect that the Americans would reciprocate and that they would question officials including the officers of law enforcement and intelligence services of the United States, whom we believe have something to do with illegal actions on the territory of Russia…

For instance, we can bring up Mr. Browder in this particular case. Business associates of Mr. Browder have earned over one and a half billion dollars in Russia. They never paid any taxes, neither in Russian army in the United States and yet the money escaped the country, they were transferred to the United States.
They sent huge amount of money – 400 million – as a contribution to the campaign of Hillary Clinton.
Well, that’s their personal case, it might have been legal, the contribution itself, but the way the money was earned was illegal….”

          • HRS, I found that very interesting too. Especially when taken in with Trump’s statements on the server, emails, and all. And while the internet is rife with rumors that Lisa Page is spilling the beans, which I have no idea is true especially since it was a closed door hearing, it seems like the purge of the democratic party is about to begin. Not saying that it’s not deserved; for it is very well deserved; it’s just that BOTH parties need to be purged. Oh yeah, and no parties to replace them. One can dream. JimBob who does like to dream though they very rarely come true.

          • HRS, this is what happens when I decide to take it easy for a day or so! I get on the net, well you know how that goes. Anyway, I just watched the Sarah Huckabee-Sanders press conference and I have to tell you that I’ve never seen one this retarded. I have to give Sarah credit as I would have just started wailing on those reporters with a Battle Axe! What? Doesn’t everyone carry one of those around? They are truly stuck on stupid with that whole Summit thing. There is definitely something amiss underneath the surface here. outside of this, the Senate held a press conference which asks for a transcript of everything that Putin and Trump talked about. I’ve never even heard of this kind of behavior. While I am no fan of Trumpy, his cabinet meeting conference being a triumph of the merging of corporation and state with the education system merging with the Labor Dept. (a whole lot of potential abuse in all of this), I don’t think he’s on the side that pays the press. Anyway, here is her link. With all this insanity, there is one thing that is for sure. Change is coming soon. Good or bad. Hope, but prepare.

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZqT2g1tPoo

JimBob who ain’t saying head out to the hills, just saying you’d best start paying attention.

            • I am astounded that Russia is so demonized.
              Incredibly strained.

              • HRS, hate to plug up your inbox, but this Russia thing just won’t die. No matter how they answer the question, they are accused of dodging it. Note (and this is a very long video, there are some questions at the beginning on this, then it’s the kids at the border thing that is somehow Trump’s fault, and then at the end when she takes questions. By the way, I thought she handled this much better than I would have as I don’t tolerate stupid very well. Hey, we all have our flaws!) how they all seem to want them to parrot an exact phrase. This seems to be a trend. Again, something big is moving just under the surface on this. After all, we just had Comey calling for a coup, and Brennan calling Trumpy a traitor (sort of the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me, but I’m just a silly redneck); so this is definitely something I’ve never heard. Anyway, here is the nearly hour long video. Like I said though, the majority of it deals with the kids that the media is finally concerned about and they apparently don’t care if it is their parents they get reunited with, they just want them all together. It’s completely bizarre:

                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAIT1Sl9boc

JimBob who thinks he picked a fine time to take it easy for a couple of days.

      • The suicide watch you describe is chilling and disturbing. I think you nailed it when you called it dehumanizing, which is a form of torture, isn’t it? Now I feel like a heel.

I could use some of that good news right about now; looking forward to watching it later this evening.

        • Hey Pearl! No way you could know what it’s like in there without going there yourself, and that’s not recommended by me anyway. I’m glad I was there though. Not long, but I tend to figure out situations fairly quickly. And that press conference is good news.

By the way, in the psyop that is Q, they have had a recent trend of saying that someone in the media needs to ask Trump if he can declassify the IG report. And apparently, the CIA’s old favorite (I guess The Washington Post is the new one, or just a sibling) the NYT just asked if the prez could declassify parts of it. Almost as if everything is all coordinated by the CIA. But that would be a silly conspiracy theory, now wouldn’t it? JimBob who’s been known to believe silly things before. Just not in Krampus as he was way too old to believe in him when he first heard of him.

          • Gee, that’s really an amazing coincidence! I’m sure it’s just a lone wolf in the CIA, orchestrating it all, you know, just like in the movies, where it’s always just a few bad apples. The rest of ’em are lovable patriots. Pearl who doesn’t actually believe lone wolves are bad; it’s just a weird saying, ’cause if you see a lone wolf, he’s usually sick or dying, and wolves hunt in packs.

  10. Following the volume of protests regarding the Trump Putin summit, I found the following video on US arms sales quite fascinating. Peace? No profit there!

    https://vimeo.com/279923192

    • Thanks Ukdavec (if that is your real name). I was shocked to discover Japan as the #1 customer in the 80s and 90s. While I know they aren’t exactly defenseless #1 is pretty high up there. And for 2 decades! That was a surprise. JimBob who wonders if they had armored 280Zs that shot lasers as he has such fond memories of his 1978 280z (the greatest car ever made bar none and if you say different then you are a NAZI!)

  11. Calibrator, thanks for giving me so much more to look at now. As if I weren’t already drowning in data. However, without looking at the sites yet, I never discount stupidity when it comes to these things. While we all have the potential for genius within us, very few ever even attempt to realize that potential. In fact, I ALWAYS use stupid as my default explanation for anything until I have evidence otherwise. JimBob who don’t exempt hisself when it comes to doing stupid things.

  12. Okay, I just heard from a source I trust not at all, but will link to anyway, that we are now having Afghanistan, the Taliban, and the US preparing to sit down in peace talks. Also, the Media Monarchy show for yesterday (link will be posted below as well) said patriot missile sales have now doubled for NATO. That is not exactly state of the art being out when I was in Desert Storm. It could never compete with the newer Russian missiles unless they’ve done something since. And I doubt this as those missiles were the ones we were using in Syria and the Russians beat us on that one. So, if they are not good against Russia, then what are they wanting to use them on? And just as a side-note, in that Media Monarchy show, Microsoft is calling for regulations for facial recognition software tech. Always a big flag whenever I hear that word. But if you listen to that show surveillance is a big thing today. It seems to me that the US is actually withdrawing from a war footing abroad; but our domestic surveillance is really kicking it up. For example, in that same MM show, you will hear of poop being tested for opioids. That is insane as everyone in this country is on some sort of prescription for them. I’m one of a few that aren’t. Of course, no one talks of arresting doctors/pharmacists/ or (heaven forbid!)pharmaceutical companies accountable, just their victims. Anyway, here’s the links. Warning: X22 is a soft-spoken Alex Jones who completely buys into the Q-Anon. I do too, but I don’t see it as a good thing. I was hardly surprised when he stated that it was right on track. Well, why wouldn’t it be? The state wrote it! JimBob who really isn’t that trusting of anyone who thinks they have power over him.

  13. Facebook Says Holocaust Denial Is OK With Them
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKA8ZYsjgoA

Oh boy. I do like the team over at the JDS but come on.

    – Facebook should be a public utility ???
    – Facebook shouldn’t be taking stuff down, because free speech, but if they don’t remove holocaust denial what are they going to remove ???
    – “Facebook drew a line at calls for violence” which wasn’t valid for calls to bomb Iraq, Libya, Syria. From there it follows that there may be geographical discrimination to that decision by Facebook. This being one of the good points to come out of the show.

I find it interesting how he fails to apply the same logic to both arguments.

      • Yes, one cannot question the zionist agenda. While this is only true to a certain extent, one does wonder about it. I don’t really think the zionists rule the world, but they are a powerful group using the religiously ignorant and the corrupt (just any politician) to further their agendas. Once again, they prove that government is nothing more than a choke point which can be used to anyone’s advantage. JimBob who has noticed an increase in all this along with the Russian meddling as well. However, I think it’s more like the panic of a cornered animal right before you stick it with your spear.

        • Perhaps this explains a lot of the Russian Collusion hysteria. Judicial Watch just got some of the texts though I don’t know if the one which revealed Strozk as a CIA/FBI agent in it. Anyway, this also aligns with previous stories put forth by the evil woman whose name shall not be uttered as to the CIA putting people in other agencies. Note though that it was Congress which created this position. Anyway, here’s the link to a thankfully short video:

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=70&v=K3PqrbhuHK8

JimBob who is really enjoying that old Chinese curse of living in interesting times. After all, who wants to live in boring times?

          • This also puts a dent into the old “can’t be a conspiracy because too many people blah blah” canard.

  14. By the way, just to add fuel to the fire; everyone keeps calling Russia on the news, but most recognize China as the bigger threat. With that in mind, I present several conspiracies involving the Chinese and America’s finest. All in one article. By the way, would it be a spoiler alert if I told you there was a death associated with this one? I think not. Enjoy:

    http://www.independentsentinel.com/lest-we-forget-hillarys-china-gate-scandal/

    • Thanks, that was good. I did have to laugh when JD accused Tucker of partisan bias, and I disagree with both on the immigration thing; but they were both right on the main topics. Personally, this freak out is more disconcerting to me than anything I’ve ever seen. While most people claim they don’t believe the news on tv, they’re just lying to themselves. I began questioning them back when the Beirut bombing took place. Time and Newsweek (bastions of integrity there!) were on our ship (CVN69! Haze gray and underway!) off the coast of Lebanon and reported crap that I knew for a fact was a total misrepresentation of the truth. And that was back in 83, I think. JimBob who notes that China DID hack into Killary’s server and that the same people calling Trumpy a traitor never mention that she actually fulfills all the criteria for that charge. But, then again they do back her.

    • Thanks for the link mkey!

Many Corbett members have been noticing how this Russia thing “just keeps going and going and going”.

    • Pretty sure that’s the first time ever I’ve heard the term “neocons” being used by Fox News let alone anyone in mainstream media (but then I did stop listening to them shortly after the election). Is this an accepted perspective now in MSM? Wasn’t the recently departed Charles Krauthammer, Fox News’ revered philosopher king, a major neocon? Now I’m really confused and even more suspicious.

  15. James, yet another conspiracy for you. The entire education system. Here are two links. One is to John Taylor Gatto’s site (which includes a free ebook on The underground history of American Education (the best scholarly book I have ever read. The only other that I have read that compares in terms of readability and depth is The Steel Bonnets; The story of the border reivers) and the other is a short link which I just got from the Ron Paul home school site. Enjoy:

  16. Robert Murphy: It is Even Worse on College Campus than you Think!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APTY91OW7NA

Murphy makes several excellent points in this talk. One chilling notion is that as people are becoming more inclined to use violence to shutdown opposing opinions, imagine what would such people be prepared to do in an economic crisis (which very well may be just around the corner.)

    • Excellent video! Finally got around to watching it. And he is obviously correct. However, I find the crazy left/right (the left is just crazier at the moment. Not saying all of these left/right people are crazy; just focusing on the nut balls) to all be too weak-minded for me to worry about. I know, the power of stupid in large groups; but these people are pretty much just emotional robots. I suspect some of that entrainment technology for tv as well as just exposure to the toxins that are our news media outlets play a large role as well. However, the crazy left doesn’t believe in the 2nd Am. Which makes them really crazy when you think of how they are waging a war against people who have tons of guns. Darwin shall win out in this episode of Fountainhead. JimBob who is now going outside to check and see how many leftists will respond to the swastika he now wants to wear in order to provoke a fight with a robot. Okay, no swastika; but still……

  17. At last, something on topic! This is a video from HiImpactVlogs which talks about the direction of the world. While it does make sense, I doubt it would work anymore. I’m not saying it’s not the plan; I’m just saying the powers that cower have made the mistake of having people actually take some peeks behind their curtains.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcd0Pxpgo6w

    • It’s a possible scenario. This empire needs to come to its end, but many fail to realize that stuff like that takes a few centuries, just look at the Roman Empire and how long it stuttered around.

One seminal truth that he uttered was that governments are all in it together, it’s one big theater and we’re all being played.

      • Mkey, you are right when you say it takes centuries, but the pivotal events are lightening quick. And also, I think it might be that it USED to take centuries. Entire cultures are changing practically overnight thanks to technology. JimBob who also agrees it’s all a stage and here he is without a ticket. But he does know the janitor who has a key…..

        • Maybe you’re right in saying now things would work quicker, but I’d say globalization has created more tightly knit groups with far more interconnections, mixing up various interests and associations which may lead to entire process dragging on even longer. Just look at Japan’s zombie economy and how long has that been around.

          • On the official political spectrum you are absolutely correct. However, and I wrote this badly earlier, it is the change in how people conduct themselves that is really fast. Look how fast people got on the internet once they found out it had more than just silly academic papers on it. In this case, I’m speaking of how porn pulled people into the net just like a magnet. Who would have thunk it? Note how the commentator is talking of how WE would basically be putting our own yokes on, rather than having them put on us by others. In THAT scenario, it would be fast. The government direct model? Rejected.
But having said that; I still don’t think it will work. People are far too suspicious of government agencies and motives today. While it is true this is probably the scenario the powers that cower desire, it doesn’t mean they’ll win. In this regard, the odds are on the side of those who insist on freedom. As always. JimBob who thinks that people enslave themselves far more than governments ever could anyway.
