Scottish Independence or Scotland In Dependence? (video)

by | Sep 12, 2014 | Videos | 9 comments

This month on the Geneva Business Insider, James and David preview next week’s Scottish independence vote and the various political forces that are clashing as the Scottish people go to the polls. We discuss the push for NATO membership, EU membership and a central bank for “free” Scotland and how it undermines the entire push for independence. We also examine the latest on the ceasefire in Eastern Ukraine and the specter of a cyber-hacking bank bailout.

    • EU membership, NATO membership, monarchy; Salmond is on the wrong side of every issue having to do with real independence. But because he is wrong, does that mean “Yes” is wrong? I wouldn’t say so. It’s up to the Scottish people to push a “Yes” victory through to real freedom and independence, which means pushing Salmond and the others out of the way…assuming they get a fair vote in the first place.

      • Yes, I see. The Scots need to be extremely well informed moving forward. There is great potential and opportunity here for sure.

Wayne Madsen says that the Brits are going to rig the vote so the “Yes” loses by a “razor-thin margin”. He says polls actually put the “Yes” 11% ahead. This reminds me of the sovereignty vote that took place in Canada a few decades ago. Although I was for the “No” I always wondered if the vote was stolen from the “Yes”. Many of the same strategies were used, including the media propaganda and scare tactics.

I believe this vote is different from the Quebec sovereignty vote in that a lot of push behind the “Yes” comes from Westminster’s warmongering ways and close alignment with the Bush administration in the Wars on Iraq and Afghanistan…I think the people of Scotland had enough of this squandering of money on foreign adventures…so it is fundamentally a different vote and I hope the “Yes” wins.

    • the propaganda here has reached deafening proportions – its quite staggering the fear mongering and constant negative press. negative mainstream press that is. i have no idea who wayne marsden is, and ive no reason to trust some random webapge, but ive always said its going to be a no purely because of the amount of stupid people susceptible to mainstream media input. its no different in scotland than it is anywhere else. what *is* different in scotland tho, is there are a lot of really canny ( ie clued up ) people there, more so than in most other places, and like yer guy there says, they see through the bullshit. lets hope enough of them do see through it, altho my fear is once free of westminster, its just another set of business interests taking over. one other thing that puzzles me, is that they are keeping the queen, thats really odd!!!!

      • Keeping the Queen? That sounds like the Canadian model. Of course the queen does come up there during the summer and stay at her Scottish castle “Balmoral” doesn’t she?

I wish you and the Scots all the best in this. At least you are causing the elites to think about the way they have been jerking us (the regular people) around the last two decades and methodically dismantling democracy in the west. Maybe they will consider whether they’ve gone too far. I do believe there will be some serious vote rigging going on…that’s what they dooooooo.

      • i dont think they need to bother vote rigging, it being a mostly uselss pastime anyway. one thing is for sure – if its YES then we in the UK are left with the tories as its mostly scotland that stops them being in power here.

im pretty negative about the outcome either way, but id like to see a YES just cos westminster doesnt want it 🙂

  2. I think vote rigging/fraud is almost guaranteed. The BBC propaganda has already crossed the line of what is considered fair. That will just be the tip of the iceberg. Let’s face it. The UK simply cannot allow a “Yes” vote. It would throw a big monkey wrench (you would say a “spanner”) into their globalist, fascist, bankster agenda.

    • not everything is a conspiracy. pure conjecture
