Rich in oil and gas reserves and mineral deposits, and covering a geostrategic area, Balochistan is increasingly in the sights of both Washington, which is increasingly advocating for intervention in the area in the name of “human rights.” Also at the table are Beijing and Moscow, who are both interested in the Iran-Pakistan pipeline that is slated to cut straight through the region.
