Note: Jacek Szkudlarek is reporting for The Corbett Report live from Copenhagen, Denmark, the scene of the upcoming United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change conference. In the first of a series of reports that will include articles, interviews and videos, Jacek shares some details about the impending arrival of Al Gore in Demark for the conference.

True to his altruistic image, Al Gore, the great philantropist and Saviour of the Earth, will be gracing Copenhagen with his presence this month as the UN climate change conference gets underway. I shouldn't even be writing this but I do. The guy is a born multi-tasker and while lobbying and exhorting government heads to sign away their independence he will also attend to his little Geschaeft on the side.

Gore has over the years transmutated into a sort of popstar: he is not arranging a speech (as any reasonable person would do when he or she wants to intelligently communicate something to many people). Al Gore is traveling with a multimedia show while at the same time he is doing PR for his latest book (written by his unsung ghostwriter) called (very shockingly) "Our Choice. " Ladies and Gents! Can you imagine a more creative and captivating title? I am overawed and bow deeply and humbly before the anonymous "ghostperson" in whose head the title was born and who has writtten this masterpiece (for masterpiece it must be; I know it and you know it, why argue?).

Albert G. has a good sense for business. He can dip into anybody's pocket. The VIP ticket costs $1200 and the cheapest one for helots and other plebs is only $40.

So, I guess many Americans will be tempted to come to Copenhagen. If not to see German police and their newest tasers in action, at least to see your former next-President reading from a host of teleprompters.

Welcome to Wonderful Copenhagen! (If you can stand the stench, that is).
