Ron Paul: Six Million Dollar Man

Ron Paul raked in a cool 6.1 million in a one day Money Bomb on December 16th. This drive coincided with the 234th anniversary of The Boston Tea Party and just as the Boston Tea Party was an historical event, Ron Paul made record-breaking history on that day.

At the time of this writing, according to the Ron Paul 2008 website Paul has accumulated over 25,914 new campaign donors in just the past week for a total of 61,500 donors in this same one week period. He now has over 18 million dollars in donations in his coffers for the fouth quarter with 15 days to go.

If campaign contributions are a way for Ron Paul to get the media attention he deserves, then he should be getting loads of attention now. And he is according to this article from the Associated Press.

As stated in this article from the Los Angeles Times the man behind the grass roots push for campaign contributions is a man named Trevor Lyman. "Lyman, a 37-year-old musician and Internet entrepreneur, didn't finish college. He was living in balmy Florida — running a website called musicsubmit.com that enables artists to bypass major record labels and market their songs — when he caught the Ron Paul bug. He recently relocated to snowy Manchester and shares a house with several other Paul devotees.

Just three days ago on December 14, 2007, the Ron Paul Blimp was launched in North Carolina. The amount of ingenuity going into this campaign by the grass roots is nothing short of astonishing. According to the Boston Herald: "The aerial billboard is emblazoned on one side with 'Who is Ron Paul? Google Ron Paul.' The other side reads 'Ron Paul Revolution.' The blimp is scheduled to float up the East Coast past major cities. Organizers say they have raised $200,000 to get the blimp in the air; they hope to raise $400,000 more to keep it afloat until the New Hampshire primary on Jan. 8."

The American people are fed up with the status quo. Ron Paul is the change we need to snatch our Republic from the jowls of those who would keep us in a yoke of fear and from those who wish to enslave us.
