Dr. Jerome Corsi, staff reporter for WorldNetDaily.com joined The Corbett Report today to discuss his plan to attend the upcoming SPP Leaders Summit in Montebello, Quebec. (Click here for the mp3 of the interview.) "I'm going to go on up there," he said during the interview. "I've got my travel arrangements. I'm going to apply tomorrow for credentials to attend the meeting. I intend to report on it extensively on WorldNetDaily, and I'm sure that's going to capture continental attention."

Dr. Corsi's bid to "capture continental attention" with his reporting will be welcomed by groups like The Council of Canadians, who are planning to organize protest activities to coincide with the official Leaders Summit, which will be off-limits to the public. Dr. Corsi has already reported on the large protests being organized by various Canadian groups, causing growing media attention south of the border.

As previously reported by The Corbett Report, recently released documents confirm protestors' fears that big business is driving the agenda of the SPP. The meeting minutes from the 23 February 2007 Ministerial Meeting of the SPP in Ottawa confirm that the North American Competitiveness Council — a body set up for the sole purpose of giving big business a seat at the table for the talks to merge the North American continent into one political entity — is calling the shots behind the scenes. The minutes note that "The complex and far-reaching nature of the recommendations [of the NACC report to the SPP] suggest that governments will need ample time to review and consult internally — and trilaterally — but it seems clear that the NACC will be looking for an early commitment to moving forward quickly." The fact that big business interests are not only represented at the talks, but seemingly cajoling elected representatives into doing their bidding in a timely manner only infuriates citizens planning protests of the Summit, who have already had their efforts to stage a counter-conference in Papineauville thwarted by the RCMP and the U.S. Army.

Dr. Corsi also revealed that he has been talking with Connie Fogal of the Canadian Action Party as well as the Council of Canadians for his reporting.

Dr. Corsi's new book on the subject of the SPP and the North American Union, The Late Great USA, is currently making its way up the New York Times bestseller list.
